Default Well now isn't this nice...Now the VETS are calling Bush out

Goddamn whiny ass troops.

Just because you had the top of your skull blown off, and they had to put it in your stomach for four months until they could preform surgery on you, or in another case they had to glue your freaking eye back in it's socket...were supposed to worry about what happens to you once you get back?

http://www.tri-cityherald.com/tch/lo...-6605054c.html

Hell no! That's why they pressure our young wounded troops with serious injuries to sign discharge papers often before they have recieved complex (and expensive) medical care for serious injuries.

"Last fall, about five months after he was wounded, Lefever said her son was told to attend a meeting without his mother. During the meeting, which Lefever insisted on attending, Dunn was given three days to sign papers starting the discharge process or the Army would do it without his authorization. At that point, Dunn had not received the surgery that would rebuild his forehead.

"I felt bullied," Lefever said. "

The Army said "sign it or we'll sign it for you"

Nice way to honor the people we call our "heroes".

Well now the returning injured troops are pissed.

And they are telling our Dear Leader he better put up or shut up.

To coin a famous phrase by the guy who's military record is still in question...

"Mr. President, your either with us or against us".

http://www.optruth.org//main.cfm

And they are running this full page ad in the Washington Post tomorrow.

You Kool-Aid drinkers must be very proud.

How anyone can support this loser is beyond me.
And that's coming from a vet.

ME.

Amen!

As a veteran, the people who are still covering for the AWOL-going piece of **** in the WH make me sick.

When confronted with the sort of facts documented by the article you just posted, they invariably respond with denial, smears against the messenger, and more denial.

Ultimately, all these jerkoffs care about is a "win" for "Team GOP" - they couldn't give a f*** less about the plight of the men and women who put their lives on the line for their country.

And these are the same handjobs who have the audacity to drive around with "support the troops" ribbons on their cars.

Bro this is what it all breaks down to , supporting the Troops , I dont have a magnet ribbon on my car , I dont see how that helps the troops , but I do send Baby wipes and a general letter stating I dont support the iraqi war , but I also understand that the Troops are a tool of a failed policy , and my support of our Military never wanes ........ We put our troops in this situation , Bush needs to step up and take care of these people ........ Supporting the troops is more then putting a magnet on your car ....... We have a group here in Wyoming that wants to cut the 5% tax on food , I was approached out side of a food store and was asked to sign a petition , The guy tells me that Wyoming has 2 Billion$'s in the coffer , I said how about we do this , Keep Paying the Tax but get our Leaders in Wyoming to set up a fund for our troops from Wyoming that will be comming home and need some help ......
That bastard didnt have anything to say , didnt even respond , just asked another to sign the petition , and the other guy did , and he heard every word I said ...... I was pissed but I was more sad then pissed .....

GOP Scrambles to Fill Veterans' Shortfall

The leaders' response: Fire the messengers

Republicans warned Hastert and DeLay more than a year ago that the government
would come up at least $750 million short for veterans' health care.

The leaders' response: Fire the messengers.

Now that the Bush administration has acknowledged a shortfall of at least $1.2 billion,
embarrassed Republicans are scrambling to fill the gap. Meanwhile, Democrats portray the problem as another example of the GOP and the White House taking a shortsighted approach to the cost of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and criticize their commitment to the troops.

New Jersey Rep. Chris Smith, as chairman of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee, told the House GOP leadership that the Vets needed at least $2.5 billion more in its budget. Smith was rebuked for sounding the spending alarm, and House leaders yanked his chairmanship in January.

Default Have you noticed...

That as you post things that are factual, and that goes against the grain of the flying monkey right, that they never respond?

Wait till the story breaks (it's starting to bubble already) that the Bush administration had their hand in the Iraqi election to insure that someone they could control got elected.

The Iraqi people are going to be so pleased.

Their first exposure to democracy is going to be a fixed election by an occupying force.

You think they are pissed NOW?

Just wait.

Or else they respond with the usual "shoot the messenger."

These people seem to be living in a state of collective denial concerning the grim realities of the Smirk & Sneer misadministration. When confronted with painful or inconvenient facts about Team Chimp, they simply ignore those facts, make up their own, and live in a world of make-believe.

America has always treated its veterans like crap. Remember the DC riots after WWI? Vets pitched tents all over Washington to demand the pay that was promised them. Congress sent out the National Guard to shoot and gas them (kind of ironic, eh? Gassing WWI vets). Have you ever seen the films of American soldiers on horseback riding through the ranks of WWI vets on crutches, some of them missing limbs, eyes, etc., beating them down with billy clubs? Hell, the first revolution against the U.S. government was caused by Revolutionary War vets who congress decided not to pay after the Treaty of Paris. Washington himself had to calm them down. They wanted to physically disband congress, hang a couple of senators for good measure, and install Washington as George the First of America.

While you're fighting, the whole congress (and country) is all "Wave the flag and apple pie." When the fighting is over, screw you.
