Default City of Denver

My cousin and I attempt to attend one Broncos game per year. We live in Utah, so the only time we see the city of Denver is for that one weekend. As a result, we really aren't all that familiar with the area. We just purchased our tickets for the Oct.30 game against Detroit. In the previous years, we almost always stay at the same hotel (can't recall the name, but it is across from the building with the big blue bear statue) and then just go to the restaurants and bars that are in walking distance from there. We usually end up at Jackson's Sports Bar or the outdoor mall. I'd like to do a little better this year, so I am trying to do some research. Are there any restaurants, bars, or other activities around downtown Denver that you would recommend we try? We are planning on doing a stadium tour the day before the game, which we haven't done before. But nothing else is really planned at this point.

Would appreciate any recommendations you can offer. Thanks

You haven't lived until you've had a Santiagos breakfast burrito (second only to my homemade). Be sure to ask for the "hot" green chili.

www.Yelp.com covers every major city usa.

I don't don't go anywhere without visiting yelp reviews first. Haven't had a bad restaurant experience in a long time.
