Default Mlb All-star Game

I just scored some tickets at face value!!

They released some to Tigers season ticket holders and one of them gave me the password that you need to get them.

Only single seats, but I can sit by myself or stand in the outfield for the game with my buds.

Sweet!!

You have done well young smart ass.

If others can have threads about cats, making 1000 posts or other things, I would then think the MLB All-Star game can have a thread of its own as well.

Thanks, I wanted to go badly, but was not willing to pony up major jack to do it. Some times opportunity knocks and you get lucky.

The Super Bowl is in Detroit this year and I plan on going to that as well.

Cool. Going to the midsummer classic is one of the few sporting events I really want to go to that I haven't been able to attend. I missed a great chance at going when I couldn't get tickets to the 1998 game at Coors Field.

Have fun at Comerica Tuesday night.

That would kick major ass. I only live about 45 minutes from Detroit. Bronco fans could crash at my place if they could not find a hotel.

Thanks, I was unable to go to the game at Coors then as well. The all star game is on my top 10 list of sporting events I have wanted to go to. To get tickets at face for $150 is sweet.

I kind of hope Clemens gets the starting nod over Willis for the NL, but both are very deserving. Last year Clemens started and got rocked.

Pudge is the only Tiger in the game and he is knicked up right now. I thought Bonderman had a chance at going as he has 11 wins, but his ERA is 3.99. He is going to be a star. I know Halladay got hurt and may not play and Rogers may bow out. This would open the door for Bondy and maybe Clement of the Red Sox.

Francona said he's definitely taking Clement if a spot opens up. That's alright, there's not a GM in baseball who would choose Clement over Bonderman if they could add either one to their own team.

Last I heard they were leaning toward Carpenter. That would be pretty chicken **** of LaRussa, but who knows. I'm a Clemens homer and think that Willis deserves the nod.

Anybody take that quiz yet?

Didn't have to register... but I checked the link and it doesn't go straight to this particular quiz. I went the sports/american football/teams/denver broncos route. There were a few tough ones in there. I go back to about 1985... anything prior to I struggle with!

I agree 100%. Bonderman has a really bright future. The kid is only 22 and improves every year. His first year in 2003, the Tigers were a terrible team. He survived that year and it made him a better player. I honestly look for him to be a 17-22 game winner for many years.

Looks like Rafael Palmeiro is about 3 hits shy of 3000 as of right now.

In my book, he is a no doubter as a Hall of Famer. I hear others argue otherwise, but Palmeiro will end up with around 600 HRs, over 3000 hits and in the vicinity of 2000 RBIs. Those are some gaudy numbers.
