Default Real World Austin

Just started here. And yes, I'm blowing off Game 6 for it.

The past two Real Worlds (San Diego & Philly) have been great, let's hope this one is too.

It's times like these that makes me love MTV.

I can see how you wouldn't want to pass up the opportunity to observe real hillbillys in their natural habitat.

Wait, they import vain and insipid youngsters from across the country to inhabit the designated domicile each time, don't they? My bad.

Well, enjoy.

Okay Rhyme. And you have the nerve to crack down on people who watch hockey?

Man. All I can do is sigh and shake my head. How does one become so misguided?

I knew I'd get hate for this post.

However, Melinda is pretty damn hot.

I can't wait until the drama starts.

And for the record, Real World Austin > Real World Lockout

The Longhorns are from Austin, Slap. Trust me, there's no need for them to import vain and insipid youngsters. It's like adding 7 minnows to Sea World.

Nope, not in this case, SoCal. t.u. really is where the rich kids go to school. Always has been. While it's evened out some these days (because there are some filthy, stinkin' rich Aggies) A&M started out considered a "Farmer's College" whereas t.u. was where the rich went. Debutantes and socialites? You weren't going to find them in College Station... or Texas Tech... or North Texas... or Houston...

They were in Austin... and that dates back to the beginning of the college.

That's completely honest.

Oh yeah.

I cannot believe it, this one dude (whose name I forget right now) got into a fight the second night of being in town. Got rocked, and needs surgury to fix his fractured bone in his face.

Austin is going to rule.

Remember when the Real World used to have real people instead of wanna be media-whores?

I'll stick with game 6.

I just turned 28 today and still find myself watching the real world. I don't watch the O.C. or any shows like that but I've been watching the Real World for so many years now. I mainly watch boxing and other sports.

Anywho, I only missed halftime and the 3rd quarter, I'm back on the game now. TV is sweet tonight.

MTV still makes this crappy show? The only things that's lamer than the Real World is that cast members are treated like celebrities after it's over.

That is one point I'll agree with you on. Every so once in a while, I'll get a flyer at school, for a party at some bar, and the huge selling point is "party with so-and-so from the real world!"

I love the show, but treating these psychos like celebrities, yeah, that's a whole 'nother story.

I remember when Treshelle came to Boulder to speak at the Fox Theater or something. I still wonder if anyone actually went to that......

The only cool thing about Austin is when the SXSW Festival sets up shop there......

unfortunately, that's long over.........no reason to revisit bat city now until next year.

Hahaha, yes, it was Trishelle! She was on some flyer for some bar party in Denver. She must have been in the area for this speaking deal you're talking about.

You know what, as long as they keep pumping out the Real World/Road Rules Challenges, I'm happy. The Sports Guy summed it up best, during some of those competitions, you expected the needles from the steroids to be popping out of the guys.
