Default Happy Father's Day Fellas

Not sure if it's a day y'all appreciate after reading some of the latest threads or not. Hahahahahaha. Despite how crumby women are, hope your horrible woman remembers you properly today. And if not.... well, this is for you

What is considered a good Father's Day gift?

Have a great day, guys.

I'll see my kiddies later today. My 9-year old daughter has been taking sewing lesson so I should be getting a pillow or something like that.

My 6-year old son will color me something I'm sure.

Anyway, whatever they get me is fine. I love those little buggers!

My daughter colored on some typing paper for me. I'm not sure what it is but it looks wonderful.

I got my Father's Day present a day early: A 16' by 10.5' tent. We set it up in the backyard and had a campout last night. Started some coals in the grill when it got dark and roasted marshmallows and everything. It was very, very cool.

Of course, when I woke up and could barely move...

Tonight I'm grilling steaks.

Daughter made me a home made card, after looking in Wally World for a while she told her mom she would rather make me one instead of buy me one, (8 yr old)
Wife bought me a shirt and a pair of Carolina Tarheel Boxer Shorts (free balling style) Woot!

This is always a bit of a touchy day with me. I lost my father 21 years ago when I was five. Being that young, I have very few memories of him. But I do remember that he loved the Denver Broncos, which is why I'm a fan today.

Sorry, don't mean to be a downer. To all the fathers out there, enjoy this day. To all the children out there, call your dad and tell him you love him.

This needs to be reiterated.

I called my mom today and thanked her for being my father as well for the last few years.

I'm sorry you didn't get more time with your Father, MadCity. I lost my Dad when I was 33. He's been gone for seven years and I still think about him every day. I'm amazed at how much more I become like him with every passing year. I wonder if I would notice the similarities if he was still alive? I would like to say I would, but probably not.

Everyone who still has their Father should call him or go see him today. Tell him you love him, even if its awkward for some of you. When he's gone, you'll wish you took the opportunity to tell him how you feel. Don't allow yourself to have those regrets.

If my Dad were here today, I would tell him he was right about a lot of things we argued about while I was growing up. Kind of funny how I can see that now. I would thank him for teaching me everything I know about sports. I would thank him for teaching me how to win graciously and tell him I was still learning how to lose the same way. I would tell him of the awe I still feel over the 43 year bond he shared with my Mother, the greatest love story I've ever witnessed. My Dad provided me a daily example of how a man should treat the woman he loves, with reverence and respect and undying loyalty.

Great post.

I lost my father two years ago next Saturday and there is not a day goes by I don't think about him. So today I am going fishing with my three kids which is what he would do if he were still here.

Happy fathers day to all the dads out there.

I sure appreciate it. My woman must not have gotten the memo. She treats me pretty good, and I'm glad to have 'er. A good fathers day gift? My son bought me headlight covers for the new car. They look great!

The wife will be uncovering her headlights. They look great as well.

Thanks for the happy-happy.

Happy Father's day to all my fellow Breatheren, as well as those single mom's who have to do both jobs (it's a tough one, I know). My son had a hockey game today, and scored a goal as well as instigated another kid into a 2 and 10 penalty . My daughter, who has been saving her money for her car, offered to take me to dinner, but I would prefer her save her money for her car and her school clothes. So the big twerp decided to clean my bedroom and do my laundry instead. My youngest daughter hasn't called yet, but I figure her mom has something to do with that one, and she will be here in 7 days, so it doesn't really matter. Don't have a special lady in my life to get a "special" present from (You guys know what I am talking about ). I took my dad and mom out to breakfast this morning.

Thanks for the well wishes!

Good thing for me I 'likes the women' since I have 2 daughters and girlfriends.
The younger, inexperienced guys will get over their "hate all woman" phase once they gain a little more knowledge and maturity

I went fishing all day (had a blast, caught a lot of fish) so it was a nice day!

I played golf tonight with my 4 kids. It was a perfect night here in DC. In the 70's, clear and dry. So my little 5-some was really fun.

My wife had gone out to dinner with her Mom because she lost her Dad last year and wanted to prop up momma. I was supposed to just golf with my 13 yo boy. My daughter (15) and 11 yo son would have none of it and piled on. Not thinking it was smart to leave the 5yo boy by himself I decided to take him along. He ended up riding on my lap and steering the cart for the most part.

After playing 9 holes I was exhausted from trying to keep them from killing each other with snap-hook shots. We decided to hit the clubhouse and have a late bite at around 9. Pretty sweet way to wrap up Daddy's day.

Best to all the other Fathers. ~NPR
