It's also the first time in franchise history that the Broncos have ever had two 1st round picks.

If I remember correctly, we traded the pick to the Baltimore Raisins so they could draft WR Travis Taylor...or, as he's known in crab-cake circles; 'el busto' Still, it's not as though we were offered the opportunity to draft the likes of Courtney Brown, Gerard warren & Tim Couch in a short time-span. No, we waited for them to waste away a while and brought them on board for a few beads & a deed to the Brooklyn Bridge |

The last time the Broncos had a top 10 pick that they used was in 1991, good ol' Mike Croel. I heard Karl Mecklenburg once say on the radio that Croel was "great until the opposition started blocking him."
But now they've not only got a shot at a top 10 pick, but multiple 1st round picks to work with. It's definitely something to get excited about. No way we'd be talking about the '06 draft right now if not for that. |

OT-What if...
Trevor has a career year? With his contract for next year being as monstrous as this years (before restructuring) is it viable that we could trade him for another 1st rounder? Should we? |
