That's the one where the wheels on the Plummer bandwagon started coming off...

Yeah but it was a great game to watch with all the action back and forth. A real battle with great plays on both sides.

I was there for that fiasco of tipped passes for ints. I remember seeing Plummer audible from run to pass in the red zone. I was pissed! Remember when Bell scored that TD? Man, he hit that hole so fast! And Champ covered gates really well too. Brees didn't throw on his side of the field too often. Man was I upset driving back to AZ though.

If they want to follow Broncos 2004 highlights with a Broncos game, why wouldn't they at least pick the first SD-DEN game? Or any of the 10 games we won last year?

That makes sense, the scheduling just seemed like the Broncos highlights was being followed by a Broncos game.

The game at Sandy Eggo is too painful to watch again...had it and threw it away. I think I might end up throwing things again if I watched it again.

The 2004 Highlights show was a homer's paradise. Although some of those plays were just great to see again, most notably Lynch's 3rd down stop @ Tampa.

I can't bring myself to watch the San Diego game, knowing how it turned out...

I watched it. The Broncos beat themselves that game, and not just by the Plummer to Smith INT.

we made alot of mistakes and to only lose by a field goal when throwin 5 picks and making that many mistakes shows that we were actualy the better team i think. we could have kicked that feild goal if watts would have gottn out of bounds i totaly forgot about that.

Already Tivo'd it and the SD Highlights from last time. It was interesting in that they used other angles than the actual game footage I still have for analysis. Especially The INT in the endzone and the Putzier tip INT.

It just affirmed my belief that both balls were thrown to the wrong shoulder of those two Receivers.

what a WR can't adjust and catch a ball that hits his hands if its thrown to the wrong shoulder?

The Smith pass was bad but still its a bad sign if the WR can't adjust and catch a pass that still hits his hands. Most of the time the defender is there so you are going to get hit anyways. Its not helping Plummer out to throw a pass that maybe behind the WR some and still have it hit them in the hands and not have them catch the ball. Its up to the coaching staff to either find a QB that will put the ball on the spot 90% or find WR's that can catch a ball that isn't thrown to the easiest spot for them to catch.

Med,

You know a lot of Denver and have watched these highlights again, on the last play(4th down and like 14 or something), Jake threw a pass to Darius Watts that wasn't far enough for the first down and we turned the ball over and ended any chance of winning.

Did Jake miss a guy open further down the field, or were we jsut trying to pick up the 1st and Watts was the only option open? I'm just curious as to why we threw an underneath pattern that late in the game when we needed a 1st down to keep the drive alive and a TD to keep our division hopes alive, wondering if you caught anything by checking out the game and highlights again.

Look, we have gone through this before. The QB has a narrow window to throw the ball. If he misses, then the WR has to adjust to make the catch. Adjusting to make the catch can leave the WR vulnerable to many things like getting pounded, tipped balls, and just flat out mistiming that causes incompletions.

This game is about precision and timing where Inches matter. Missing to the wrong shoulder in the Red Zone and third down leads to INT's. As much as I continue to root for Jake, I also see a guy who had 11 TD's and seven INT's in the Redzone last year because of his inaccuracy. The SD game in particular pissed me off since a victory there would have won Denver the Division and sent the Chargers to INDY for the first round.

No. SD played four deep Quarter Zone in the dime and shut down the sidelines. Wade called the perfect play there with no time left and No TO's.
