With only a 15 million first day, Longest Yard will be lucky to get more than 15-20 million more than Sith did on it's first day.

BTW, has any one seen Longest Yard? Is it worth seeing or should I wait to see it on DVD?

It's not about the Longest Yard being a top grossing movie it's about The Longest Yard beating Sith, a movie with the weight of several movies pushing it and not to mention a cult following standing in line to buy tickets falling off so badly in it's second week that it comes in second to a very average movie.

15 million on it's second Friday is not falling off so badly. It is only because the movie mad 50 million on it's first day that makes the total looks so much smaller. No way it was going to rack in 50 million week after week. All movies have a big drop off in their second week.

Movies don't break records by selling 50 million every weekend for 3 weeks, they break them by selling 5-10 million for 5-6 weeks or more.

Plus that total is for Friday only, we don't know which movie will come out on top for the weekend.

Look Baja I know you hated it and I loved it, so fine. But what I thought was crazy is you saying it was going to bomb and won't admit that after it made 200 million in 8 days which had only been done once before, you might be wrong.

I know you will say that you were saying is that it will under perform what was expected. But more than one person asked you what you thought it was expected and you never gave up a number. So no matter how much money it makes, you can always say you were right, because you never said well I think it should make 400 million in the U.S. alone and anything less than that is a bomb.

Which is like saying that Tiger Woods has so much talent he should win 20 majors. Then if he only wins 15 saying he was a bust.

I still contend that even with the advantage of an unlevel playing field Sith still came in second to an unheralded Movie, a foreboding indicator of the lack of staying power of Sith

You're so full of crap. Sith has made 250 million already. Do you really think a piece of trash football movie is going to approach that?

Haven't you figured out yet I am just having fun with you. Do you really think I care enough about the box office success of a movie I thought was poorly done to make all these posts, no i wanted to see how long you would carry it on if I answered every post of yours but you have worn me out I give! Uncle!

My parting shot is I bet Sith looses to Yard for the weekend because Sith has no staying power.

I see you are no match for the power of the Sith. That was a lame come back, but I couldn't think of anything really funny to say right now.

I hope Myers pans out so we can get rid of Hamilton. I can't stand that guy. If he were a rubber, Jake Plummer would have knocked up half of Denver last year because he offers no protection.

I heard that Hamilton is in line to take over for Nalen someday, but I hope not.- Clarker

Ya that was pretty funny, You should write for Lucas
