Default ESPN over the Top?

Is it just me, or has ESPN really gone off the edge?

I haven't seen Stewie A Smith lately, maybe he's on tranquilizers and will be back.

Stewie Scott is just "rediculous" in his play by play. It's almost unlistenable. How much slang can you put into something before it gets old?

And the graphics are enough to put an epileptic into a siezure. I mean they have images running at .5 seconds, and have gone computer mad.

I know the brain can comprehend things at .10 second, but I am not running a jet fighter.

Everything is so frenetic in sports coverage now.

I love the coverage, I like all the angles, but just give me the facts without all the overblown graphics.

Thoughts?

ESPN & ESPN2 are only good for watching the games as they happen.

EPSNews is probably the best thing the whole ESPN company has going right now, it's what I tune into the most outside of the football season......just the scores & facts, no bullshat.

I find them terrible...I think their news is contrived..I think the network has an axe to grind against certain coaches and players(see john cheney). I think the Espin is bad for the games the way it promotes individualism in team sports. I think often it creats hype causing an over developed sense of self amongst mid-tier or unproven players(See Jeremey Shockey).

Stop the madness!

ESPN doesn't bother me at all.

Because I don't watch ESPN.

TJ and Schlereth are very good people, as far as the limited times I've been in contact with them. Very approachable and love us Denver fans. Takes TJ about 1.5 seconds to start talking Broncos....

Salisbury and Hoge are close to getting their tires slashed in the parking lot

Sir Charles will be making excuses for the Mavs. He's a classic ESPN find, only next to Steven A. Smith, who I may be calling the FBI, because he dissapeared.

TJ hasn't really been around Bristol since superbowl/probowl time.
Pretty much the same for Schlereth.

I used to work 4am-12pm and I'd see those guys at the cafe for breakfast during the nfl season.
For the most part I avoid the talent or lack thereof, but I still feel like a little kid around those two.

I did run into David Barret of the NYJets in a bar in manhattan last weekend on a total whim. He played with Jake in Arizona and had some encouraguing words about him. Basically said he's a quality guy, who never gives up on anything. Cool to hear from an actual player and ex-teammate. Weird converstion that seemed like he was more eager to talk to me and not the 50 fly girls all up on him...

CB, I jacked that Avatar off some poker site.....

The Stewart Scott channel is a total Joke. It's become everything wrong with sports TV times ten. Some of the stupidest shows I've ever seen are on that show, and they keep cranking the crap out. I'm just glad I have video games.

Baseball Tonight is probably my favorite show on TV. PTI is not far behind. As far as Stu Scott and S A Smith go, I can't think off the top of my head right now of any other male TV personalites which I find more annoying. Some other great ESPN char. that I enjoy to listen to are of course the Primetime crew, the former SUnday Night Football crew, also Clayton, Morgan and Give me a kiss Kolber. Now if they would just get a new NFLTONIGHT Crew I'd be happy.
