Default FA-22 Raptors

This plane is 93 million each, but incredible. I consider that a bargain if we are to maintain air superiority.

Man, I'm glad this stuff is on our side.

It's a damn knat. The plane is only limited by the ability of the G-suit of the pilot.

Soon we will have no pilots, no soldiers. Its' weird. Killer Drones.

Awesome machine. I'm a bit of a flight sim buff, and try to play the most realistic ones. Even though I'm sure the specs aren't exact, an F-22 pretty much out performs any jet ever made. It's a truth "stealth" fighter. But at 93 million a pop, its very very spendy.

Doesn't matter, the Republic is in command.

Seriously, if that what it takes, then that is what it takes.

The Joint Strike Fighter will be the main figher.

Would have been better if they had 3-D thrust vectoring like the majority of the russian planes.

If they develop radar to penetrate the stealthiness characteristics we will be in trouble because the russian planes can out dog-fight these guys.

JSF will be the main fighter? The F-22 is going to replace the F-15 as the air superiority aircraft.

The Raptor does have thrust vectoring, just not to the degree that the Russian plane does. The reason? Its not needed. By the time you see the F-22, you are already dead. Its stealth capabilities include lack of onboard radar, havinig an AWAC instead feed radar information to it. Which means other planes cant see is radar signature. Which means at least a few miles extra range, this is all WITHOUT the built in stealth capabilities.

The Russian plane that is the most maneuverable, that plane would beat any on Earth in a straight dogfight, unfortuneately for it however, the Raptor makes dogfights obsolete.

AWAC's kick ass but I gotta imagine in a high stakes war that we are going to see a lot of missiles going after those things. they're extraordinarily easy to find and they are very valuable.

16's would be the newer aircraft..... 15's would be the more ideal challenge to determine how effective the 22 is. The 15's radar is close to 2:1 in terms of range and search capabilities when compared to the 16..... Block 42's and older anyhow.

The F-16 is a sturdy, cheap plane, and the F-18 hornet is even nastier, but the F-22 and the soon to come JSF Joint Strike Fighter will be even more so. Hopefully the JSF will prove to be a mulit-role plane to keep the bastards at bay.

I don't care what it costs, we have to maintain air superiority.

Or Space Superiority for that matter. It's scary, but we need to get there first. We might be rushing it tho. I am NOT in favor of putting weapons into orbit.

We are going to need a whole new bunch of equipment soon.

The Stryker needs to be abandoned, it's a piece of crap.

We need more apache helecopters, and more gunships. Stronger Humvees.

We need to be able to put 50 calibers on humvees.

We need about 300 new Abrahms tanks as well.

Mock will go into the oval office and get arrested before our kids don't have the tools to do the dirty work.

If we choose war, we choose to win. there is NO OPTION HERE.

Really? Whose ass did you pull this info from? When was the last time any Russian fighter won any air to air combat fights against U.S. jets?

Shaddup, tosser. Are you Rascals personal boot-licking toady? Look putz, for decades, US fighter aircraft have been engaging Russian aircraft in conflicts throughout the world. Most notably of late, Israel versus their Arab friends and Gulf War I. In both those conflicts where newer technology was used, the kill ratio was US planes=a whole bunch, Russian planes=ZERO.

The Russians won't be the biggest enemy, but they will be there along side N.Korea and China. Bank on that

You moron, that new Russian fighter would kick any planes ass in a dog fight. It can freakin loop BACKWARDS for god's sake. I thinks its the T-117 or something like that, whatever, its he most maneuverable jet ever crafted and the F-22, while a bad ass, would get stomped in a dog fight if it lost its stealth capabilities.

I don't think so, not if things keep heading the way they are now. Russia is having a real hard time finding any money for their infrastructure let alone spending for the military.

China has embarked on a major military buildup that the Pentagon views as a potential threat to regional stability in the Far East and to US influence in the Pacific and the world. This threat could become reality in 10 to 15 years, DoD officials maintain. The People's Liberation Army, as the Communist Chinese military is called, is developing six distinct types of fighters-more than any nation-and a new mobile strategic missile that Air Force Intelligence calls a "significant threat" to US forces in the Pacific and portions of the continental United States.
