Hey you guys & gals,
A couple months ago, we were contacted by Hooters Magazine for their publication. They wanted to list Denver as one of the top Tailgating cities in the nation & give some insight as to why. We've finally got their list of questions and were wanting some of y'alls help to compile some answers. The last question they asked was "Anything else I should know?" We figured that y'alls input would be great to put there, so if you could, please answer the following questions. We'll link this thread in our email to the lady from Hooters.... Here are the questions: 1. Where do Denver fans tailgate? If I visited your town, where should I go for the true tailgate experience? 2. What makes Denver tailgating different than tailgate parties any where eles? What makes you truly unique? 3. What foods are served at the tailgates? How are they prepared? 4. What are the beverages of choice at a Denver tailgate? Is there a specialty drink for the area? 5. Tell me a tailgate story - what has happened at a tailgate party that you believe is truly memorable? 6. What should someone wear to a Denver tailgate? What should they be sure to bring with them? 7. What type of music is played at a tailgate? What sights can someone expect to see? 8. Anything else I should know? |

#1. Lot C is where the action is now, regardless of the weather you can bet your house Meck, Jester and Nut will be there when the gates open! #2. We're BRONCO FANS! 'Nuff said! Years ago we started a theme based tailgater. We base ur menu on the visiting teams name, mascot or hometown fare! #3. Good grief, now that's a tough on to answer. A few examples: Grilled MahiMahi Deep fried turkey Crab Boil Rouladen Stuffed Rack of Rib Steak, potato and green chili for breakfast Wings, wings and more wings Clam chowder Lobster and Alaskan King Crab (with a bit o' wine and butter sauce) Skewers of all sorts BBQ'ed anything..... Marined loins of any animal which can be raised or hunted! and the list goes on and on and on....... #4. Mississippi Mud Rollin' Rock Old Malt Scotch Hot buttered rum (for those COLD GAMES) Hot Sex (for the Women) Bud this list also goes on and on and on.... #5. When the broncos went on their revenge tour, they were out of town. So my best friend and I decided to throw a tailgate party at a locar bar. The owner cordoned of the lot for our RV, grills, chairs and other req. supplies. Due to a misunderstanding Jim and I both though we were supposed to buy the Lobster for the day. We ended up with so many freakin' crusteaceans we had to take a bunch home after the party was over. A lot of the people who stopped by the bar had never attended a "real" tailgater, but after seeing what it's like when it's done right, some of them would come down to Mile High just to join the tailgating. Even if they didn't have tickets to the game. #6. a. Orange b. Tickets #7. a. At ours it's blues or rock, but does it really matter. It's all about Friends, food, and fun prior to the game! b. That depends, over the years I've seen some pretty strange things, and have done some pretty strange things myself. "Isn't that right CBF" ?#8. TAILGATING IS THE ULTIMATE FAN EXPERIENCE!!!! |
