LET'S GO NUGGETS!
*clap clap clapclapclap* I have a gig from about 12-6 today, so I should head straight to Old C's for the game. I just want to see a strong effort from the Nugs. Make the Spurs know we won't roll over. Pound them. Hit 'em hard. Fight back. BE PHYSICAL. Have K-Mart flip out, which shouldn't be hard, and do something stupid that scares teh Spurs into thinking "Holy crap, these guys are insane". LET'S GO NUGGETS! *clap clap clapclapclap* |

I'll be glued to the tv watching the game tonight. I think Carl will have the Nugz ready to play. I'm hoping for a strong effort.

The Spurs have been waiting for a year to avenge on their meltdown against the Lakers where they forget how to shoot jump shots. Its time for it begin, the run for a third championship. It will be tough, perhaps the toughest assignment for any high seed in the first round in recent memory.

7 hours to tip off and I'm already bouncin' off the walls.
And somebody tell Mark Kizla to shut up about K-mart. It's not our fault you got cut from every team you ever tried out for, nerd. |

Bump because this thread is a hell of a lot better than Waffle's. Good God Waffle, you give good fans like RO a bad name.

Dre has been unbelievable. With two three pointers in the half, I believe he doubled his career high.

Spide, you're cool. We'll let it slide.
I'm amped right now. This is EXACTLY how the Nugs had to play to make a dent this series. |

Nuggets look good right now. Miller is having a legendary game. I would have never expected him to abuse Bowen and Parker both like that offensively. He is giving Anthony and K-mart open looks and keeping the Spurs D constantly on edge. Good stuff from a decent dude. Go Miller.
The Nuggets look like they really want this one. |

So true. My roomate went home this weekend, and he walks in the door about halfway through the 2nd quarter tonight. He's getting settled back in, and Dre hits that half courter. I turn to him and say, "That's not even the best part... that's his 2nd 3 of the game." He couldn't even believe it. We still love you Andre, despite not being able to hit a 3! |

Dude, I named my cat after Dre. He keeps this up, I'm buying some more pets.
I'm still in shock. I thought SA was gonna beat us, and it wasn't gonna be a rout but it would be convincing. 3 out of 6. We might be able to do it. |

Teams better learn not to let the Nuggets hang close into the 4th. Close out has just belonged to them.
That near half courter from Andre was a jump out of the chair shot. What is up with the blown layups though? That nearly bordered on ridiculous. |

Hey guys,
sorry I couldnt post during the game, I had to work the desk shift at the newspaper tonight. I did manage to watch most of the game, and particularly the second half. First off, my congrats to the Nuggets. They deserved to win. No excuses from me. They played great defense in the second half and what I was impressed by was their ability to cut down the driving lanes on Manu, which he found in the first half. The Spurs were down right GOD awful from the field in the fourth. Credit a lot of that to the Nuggets D, albeit there were some makeable shots. And they won the game because of second chance opportunities and putbacks. Melo came up w/ a couple of big baskets in the fourth. I hope any Spurs fan on this board will not make excuses such as injuries or anything like that. Every team that is playing in the playoffs is not healthy 110%. TD looked like he was 80% back, there were a couple of times he couldnt get lift on his shots in the lane, but they were still makable. I'm upset w/ the offense and I'm upset that GRob did not get any more minutes. Sure, he did hoist up shots in the fourth when he got in, but thats why we got him. To score when times get tough. We cant lean on TD down the stretch w/ his ankle and TP has to play better defense on Andre Miller. He kept the Nuggs in it. I think the game turned at the end of the second quarter when the Spurs were up by eight and they ran off like 8 points in like 20 seconds or something and with it capping on Miller's three point heave at the buzzer. I'm frustrated that the Spurs couldnt execute down the stretch. The frustrating thing is that Denver honestly didnt play their best game, by even close and what happens when they do. This series worried the HELL out of me and now, the Spurs face a must win Wednesday night. Its frustrating to watch this team lose focus and they cant make shots. They have lost 5 straight now in the playoffs, 4 coming last year. |

We need DF on the Nuggets bandwagon.
Come on dude, there's still room. We'll get you fitted for a powder blue Melo jersey and everything... I know you like powder blue! |
