I would do cart wheels (naked) down the street if this came to pass.

Two criticisms:
1) I think you are being too optimistic about the availability of Baas, Webster and Jackson. We'd be lucky if one of those three is available at 56, let alone 76.
2) I'd rather have LeFlors or McPherson then Greene.

I just went off a value board that seemed pretty acurate for the Broncos. Rumors have been that Baas is falling into the mid to late 2nd round. Why? I don't know.

I did think Webster was a little undervalued until I did my first round and realized how many CB's were still left on the board.

Greene was there because I thought Mcpherson would be gone.

But it's harder to do a team draft with out doing the full round.

Well I think in terms of value you are pretty accurate about what should be available. You hear a lot of rumors at this time of year and its tough to know, but I am hearing that Jackson could go early in the second round. If a run on QBs happens, I wouldn't doubt if McPherson is gone as early as round 2. That's why waiting until #56 is going to be so painful, IMO. Of course, someone always falls...

Pretty much. I think there are some decent WR's they can look at in the 2nd-3rd. If Jackson does get snatched up.

What do you think of the first round? I did find it a lot less enjoyable with the Broncos now out of the first round.

It looks accurate to me according to other Mocks and rumors that I have seen. Of course, there will be suprises. Here are some thoughts:
1) If Smith slides past San Fran, Tampa could trade up
2) I can't see Benson falling that far without someone trading up to get him. If Edwards is off the board, I think Chicago goes Benson.
3) The Jets could be looking corner (Justin Miller?)
4) I have serious doubts about Crowder making round 1. New England is tough to figure though.

Good stuff. I never do trades in my mocks. They are too hard to predict. I figured Tampa would go up to the #2 spot to get Smith knowing how hard up they are for him.

Benson has slipped to the #3 rated RB on most boards. I considered having him go to Houston but how do you pass up Barron when Carr has been needing OL help for awhile.

I'm pretty sure a few trades will happen and screw all this up but I like to see how close I get each year. As good as I think they look on paper they are usually pretty far off!

I wouldn't complain about that draft. I like Greene as the perfect BU QB, but not as a starter. He is smart, accurate and plays under control.

Webster was great in 2003, but tailed off in 2004. He will likely be available, but there will be several CBs to choose from at that slot.

Everything I have heard about Jackson lately is that he is falling because of his weak route running and blocking technique while som other WRs are on the fast rise. If that is true, grab him in that slot.

I really like Baas, but I have heard that he is telling teams he wants to play Center. Broncs need a guy they can start at OG for the next 10 years.

Easy enough to fix.

2. V. Jackson (Shanahan will reach to get a WR)
3a. Corey Webster
3b. Evan Mathis
3c. Antonio Perkins

My Saturday Wish List:

2. Mike Patterson, DT, USC or David Bass, G/C, Michigan
(by trading up in the second round with our own second and Washington's third round pick)
3a: Craig Bragg, WR, UCLA
3b: Frank Gore, RB, USC

My wish list:

56 Baas -hope he falls to us
76 Mathis- yes a 2nd guard, giving us two studs next year when Hamilton moves to C
97 Perkins - Dime guy and returner
101 Colquitt - Final touch to vastly improved ST play

This may not be exciting but it would solidify the Oline and ST, and hopefully we can sign another DB vet after June 1st.

DBs Depth would be Champ, Walls, Middlebrooks, FA vet, Perkins, Shoate or Roc.
