And we STILL have four first day picks. But I think we are in a better spot in terms of value. This draft is said to be weak at the top, but deep overall. We'll still have a chance at some solid talent, and we'll be loaded up for next year.

This has the potential to be a trade that sets Denver up for the next several years. We will have 2 first rounders and can get almost anyone we want in the 2006 draft.

You can see that Gibbs is desperate to win this year. He's got too much ground to cover, though. Their defense was awesome last season, and they still only won six games. Now they've lost two top level starters from that defense in Pierce and Smoot...plus, they've actually downgraded their offense, going from Coles to Santana Moss. This is a desperate move, and isn't likely to work.

Washington has become Shanny's personal bank. Gibbs and Snyder are totally myopic.

Unless Portis has a fantastic season, that #1 is likely to be in the top 10 next year.

I guess PFT was right about trading down. Way down into 2006.

Well, I am looking at the point totals (assumes Wash is #16 next year):

#25 Overall - 720 pts

#16 Overall - 1,000 *
#76 Overall - 210
#111 Overall - 72 *

* denotes 2006 pick

Looks like a pretty good deal I guess. I don't like waiting until #56 overall for our pick, but I guess then we have 4 of the next 50 picks. Not bad. Baas is probably out, but hopefully it brings McPherson and V Jackson into serious contention to be Denver Broncos.

Oh, I forgot, it's Greasy Al. Isn't Dyson still out there? We should have a few dollars now that we don't have to anty up for a #1. Or did Dyson sign?

i don't want leinert. i am backing plummer. but if we miss the playoffs or are knocked out early, then bring me leinert. i think we should get bush. but its way too early to say. and we actually have a say in the skins' final record. we can whup them week 5.
