In the early morning hours, while its still dark on the mountainside, your sleep is interrupted by the shrill screech of sirens, and you are all rustled out of bed by Chinese SWAT teams.

This is not a drill.

Repeat.

This is not a drill.

Stay tuned.

OldDudetheYounger, come to the bridge immediately.

Those Chinese guys are getting really animated right now. It looks like one of the players in our game is about to be executed on the spot.

Dang, I hate when that happens. I guess maybe I should not have gone through the Chinese gateway when I was surfing porn last night using the contestant's ISP.

*Edit* BTW the numbers in your sigs appear to be your contestant number. It will be tattooed on your necks as a bar code for easy body identification as the game progresses.

Okay. Here is all I can tell the players right now.

1. All the votes are in for this round, except for TD30s. So someone grab him by the sleeve and get him to get his vote in.

2. The cops really have intruded into the game, and someone's in big trouble.

Check that. He's not dead yet ... just undergoing an interrogation for a passport violation.

I'm being told the suspect is DenverFan4Life.

Well, this is really going to throw a glitch into things.

The authorities are now interrogating a second suspect as well.

It appears that we are going to lose at least one member of the party - possibly two. Too soon to tell about that. I'm waiting for details ...

The question is what to do about it game-wise, how it will affect this round, and what to do about all the lifeline and contract kill assignments ...

If the Chinese execute the two players, I would suggest starting over with new contract/lifeline assignments. Or simply reassign the links, replacing those to and from the dead player with those folks directly effected.

It has now apparently been confirmed that Denverfan4Life is a wanted international terrorist - also known as a "banned user account."

The question right now is whether or not he was also being used as an alter ego by another player in the game - -

And I'm sure the ramifications of that will be immediately apparent.

If it turns out that one guy was using two player entries to gather information, build alliances, coordinate votes, pass on classified information, and so forth, that would affect not just the raw votes, but the voting dynamics, as well.

Really a spectacular effort at cheating, which is okay with me, but since it violates forum rules, not so hot...

I could start everything over from scratch, as ODY suggests ... with re-assigned contract kills, lifelines, etc.

Or I could try to repair the damage with minor reassignments and just designate the detainee(s) as the official victim(s) for this round ...

Or we could just pretend this didn't happen and move on up the mountain, knowing that one or (maybe two) of the active accounts are actually disabled "stiff" accounts ...

Decisions.

For right now, I'm going to wait and see what the administrators conclude about the second suspect.
