NICE WIN !!

The crowd was awesome at the start! Watching the game w/ the surround sound on, you could almost feel the stadium rocking!

It was a great crowd! Luckily the cold rain didn't start until towards the end of the game. From under the south stands (concourse area) you could really feel it shake.

I want to send a special thanks out to Stanky76 (new omaner) and local BBQ specialist. He really jumped in yesterday with Desmond and Bronx to bang out some great turkey!

Stanky it's going to be a pleasure having you at future tailgates and let me know if you are coming to KC.

Also I want to give props to the Eagle fans for coming into our lot and stadium in full force and represent their team with Class. Phillytailgate.com /Mongo you throw one helluva a good party. I walked over there a couple times and I couldn't even find you man in that see of green. That was unreal. I hope you guys had a good time while in Denver despite the score. The away games are alot of fun but they can be brutal on the way home. (trust me we know look no futher than the Giants game for us).

Anyway thanks to everyone who helped out, donated etc.

Alkazar! It was great meeting you even if it was only for a couple minutes! If you had to get lucky scoring tix to game you picked a great one! You might be good luck for us dude. I can't even remember the last time we hung 49 points!

Well OF1 needs a bye week like the team. We have some techinical issues to work out with the audio system. Damn CD players is in the fritz and we have some loose computer cables that I need to trouble shoot. Other than that we are in good shape and will be ready to roll to Dallas in a few weeks!

Oh one last thing.......Rogue as far as your "safety poll" challenge goes I'm not sure I can even post our pics! One or two of them might be suitable for the Mane.

To Sandy of the Broncos (If you see this). Thanks for the Broncos Country Stickers. We will be sure to pass them out at the away games!

If any of you guys want one for your truck or car send me a sell addressed envelope and we'll ship you one for free.
GO BRONCOS!

Meck - Outstanding effort on the safety bar challenge. OF1 scored a completely lopsided victory by importing some prime talent!

Fortunately, you had a big heart and marched them over to our bus after their OF1 tour!!!!! The safety bar was well used.

From my side, I failed miserably as my ringer failed to show and the other girls chose to dress like it was 45 degree and raining (it was, but that is beside the point.)

BUT, I will step up for the Jets game. I am working the phones already! This is a tradition that needs to continue.

I can't believe you're giving those guys props for their behavior in the lot on sunday (Class?). Not only did they vomit in various places before ten in the morning, they also tossed their garbage on the ground, they harrassed the people coming in to park, were arrested for pissing off the fifth level in the fourth quarter and were running across the hoods of cars after the game.
I'm sorry to have ever had to meet these low-life hoodlums. I used to think raiderfan was the lowest lifeform in the NFL, but I must say Phillyfans take take cake.
When I questioned them about their mess, they were actually proud of their behavior and asked me what I'm going to do about it.
My digital camera ran out of batteries, but I did get some photos of the "landfill" Phillytailgate created, which I will forward to the Broncos.
I guess John Applegate was to busy warning the Bronco fans not to get in a fight with the beagle fans!

Woah...I didn't know that. I saw the vomit. No biggy there. Seen Broncos fans do that. I wasn't up there after the game.

My bad Tailgatenut. Let me rephrase my statement. Before the game the guys I met were civil.

Default Thank you tailgate nut

I had put a few posts up warning you guys how horrendous my experience with the Eagle fans was. I had read Meck's thread and was wondering if I had misreprented them. Unfortuantely what you saw was exactly the BS I had experienced with them in Jacksonville and then some.

TailgateNut,

First of all, I wholeheartedly object to the notion that my group singlehandedly created a "landfill" considering I was consistently walking bags of trash over to the dumpster. It is coceivable that some Eagles fans did leave trash in the lot, since most of the people in Lot C didn't show up until like 1 o'clock. If it would make you feel better, forward those pictures to me as I would like to see this "landfill"... I did what I could to keep everything as neat and clean as possible. You also might want to not always stereotype fans simply because of their team. I am sure Meck, Disco, Jester, and the rest of the guys I met would consider all Eagles fans, as you said "low-life hoodlums."

Like I had told Meck previously, the Eagles have some ***holes in their fanbase, but even your beloved Broncos have a few of them included in that group, especially a few of them up in 519/520.

Meck, OF1 Crew.... Thanks for the hospitality and help with everything. We'll have to keep in touch... It was a fun trip to Denver and it was great to meet you guys. I just have one more favor to ask and that is beat those stinkin' Cowboys...

Mongo,

I generally do not stereotype fans due to their team affilliation. I had several eagle fans who attended my tailgater which was just north of where you had your party, and they agreed with my take. In fact one of them was with me at the port-o-let on the hill when I was told to come down and do something about it if I didn't like the trash.
To quote: " have you ever been to Philly, that's how we do things...,I'd like to see you come down there and do something about it..."
I haven't missed a game, nor a tailgate at Mile High for over a decade, and what I saw on sunday definately was the worst I've seen. Total lack of respect!
I do agree that we have our own choice group of a$$holes, but we tend to be proud of our stadium and we like to present our city as being clean and liveable! It's a matter of self respect!
Once I develop the photos I be glad to cc you in the mailing.

Take care, but please don't trash MY LOT again!

I saw the "bad Eagles fans" in downtown Denver all weekend. Lodo's there was a group of them that started a fight on Friday night-I mean these guys were just looking for trouble. Then Saturday night heading back to the hotel after the Avs games I saw the cops breaking up a fight between some people and a group of guys wearing Eagles jerseys.

Again, Mongo I am sure there are bad ones as well as there are bad Bronco fans as I witnessed both this weekend but the total lack of respect shown by some Eagles fans really surprised me.

People have to remember its a game, we are fans...........the most we can control the game is by making an assload of noise in the stadium-the rest is just for fun and by causing trouble or acting like a teenager does not make you any more of a fan than the rest of us.

I don't know who left the mess, but there was a lot of garbage in the lots on the west side of the stadium the next morning. I stayed at the hotel next to the stadium and couldn't believe what I saw on my way out.

This was classic. Picture compliments of phillytailgate.com (they took a bunch). Interesting to see thier tailgate thru their camera.

Anyhow here's a shot when our Band "The Stampede" marched right into the heart of their tailgate. It was a blast. Couple hundred fans mixed together in a pre-game rally. It was fun.

I dream of the day when all the tailgaters from Lot R, N, and M etc are seen in a picture like this instead of a bunch of cars and empty spaces. I can't tell you how many philly fans thought they outnumbered all the Broncos tailgaters. Not even close but the Philly fans had a huge presence in Lot C this day.

See all their pics here.

So - over in Lot R we had a fair number of Eagles fans and of course the stadium was swarming with them (I personally was annoyed by that). In my own experience, I found the Eagle fans to be committed and well behaved. So - sorry to hear that elsewhere it got pretty ugly. We sit in 531 and I didnt see any issues with the many many around us. I actually pointed that out to quite a few of them after the game - although I don't think they were in the mood to listen to me "praise" them.

Be thankful you only have to deal with Eagle fans for one day. I have to deal with them 24/7/ 365 days a year! They are an obnoxious bunch. They invented a fight song a few years ago, and make it seem like it's been around forever. In the early 90's they couldn't even sell out the Vet. The local FOX station bought remaining tickets, so the game wouldn't be blacked out.
