Default Nugg vs Timperpuppies Karma Thread

Beat the mutts down tonight. The first of back to backs, this is a HUGE game tonight. KG needs to get lured into a fight by Elson and tossed sometime in the first

Got to steal this game tonight, Go Nuggs.

Sorry about another nuggs thread DenFan, but there's going to be one from here on out for each game. I'd advise you to just not open the thread my friend

The timberpuppies are the laziest team in the NBA. They are literally unbearable to watch. No defense, poor coaching, totally lethargic. Denver should be able to sleepwalk thru this one.

Trap game.

We need this one to keep right on the Rockets heels.

I think the Twolves have won 7 of 8 right now.

They woke up just in time for the photo finish .... like the tortoise and the hare story.

Going from a 1 seed to an 8 seed (their current goal) with the same team and reigning MVP on your team is pretty bad.

Damn I really hate the lakers right now. I should have known they wouldn't be able to beat Houston at Staples last night but there was always hope. I think we can take the 6th spot anyway but a little help never hurts.

Good post. The T-Wolves are hardly a trap team.

Nugs need these next two games. Badly.

T Wolves are no joke right now. If the Nuggets don't go out there fighting it will be too close. The team needs a breather. They are getting kind of beat up. I hope they can hold it together.

ESPN national tv tonight. Darn it all but I got ECHL hockey tickets from work to see the Bakersfield Condors vs the Idaho Steelheads so I'll be at that game instead of watching the Nuggets on tv. Tivo is truly a blessing from the television gods.

HUGE game tonight. The Wolves have been playing real well as of late.

This is a respect game, a "we are not to be ****ed with" game.

We're in the playoffs, this isn't even about that. This is a statement game. Go into Minnesota and "put something on dey ass!"

If Boykins doesn't throw the game away, and if the Nuggets get scoring from Melo and Camby and a strong performance by Martin, they should be able to keep it close. Win? Very possible, but this game is one they could afford to lose if it comes to it. Tomorrow the Rockets could lose and the Nuggs will win at home and be a half game behind the Rockets. No big deal there. So, if they lost, it is not a disaster.

But, as said above, it IS a "Statement Game". If they lose by three or five, that's a statement. If they lose by 15 or more, it would hurt, but not be the worse thing that could happen. If they win, then the Wolves are done for the year. That is a big motivator right there. Let them vie with the Lakers for a lottery pick.

This game reminds me of game 3 last year. I know I yammer on about that more than Mock talks about his cat, but that was the greatest sporting event of my life that I attended in person. I was discussing it with another guy who was there on a different board, and he reminded me of the chants in the lobby of hte Pepsi Center after the game of "LET'S GO NUGGETS" *clap clap clapclapclap*. I know DU probably remembers this, but for those that weren't there it was unbelievable. It was literally a college playoff atmosphere, and it wasn't even in teh stands. Everyone was so high after the win that the chants continued as everyone was leaving the Pepsi Center.

That game was awesome!! Loudest sporting event I have ever been to. (It used to be a game I saw at the old Kingdome in the mid80s when the Seachicks were pretty good) The Can is going to get it's roof blown off this post season. I can't freaking wait!!

Damn right.
Playoff wins are sweet(being a Cavs fan, I dont know too well about it), but did experience it once, and like you said, the place was just crazy, both inside and outside of the arena. Even if I don't have tickets for the game, I like driving downtown to watch it somewhere.

On the other side, I've been there on hand to see Cleveland lose in the playoffs...not cool at all. I was 10 rows up right on the side where the players enter the court from, got to see a game 5(back then, 1st round series were only 5 games) loss to the Knicks, gues the only thing that was funny about it were the Cleveland fans heckling the Knicks players after the game as they exited the arena.

Guess the moral of this story is, being there to watch playoff games is an awesome feeling...unless your team loses

You know, I'd root for Cleveland if it was against anybody else but Philly. I'm such a huge AI guy though, I always want to see him win.

Well, right now it looks as if the Cavs are waiting until after halftime to blow the lead and lose the game.

I was obviously mistaken, Cavs found a way to give up a 4 point lead with 1:02 remaining to be down by 2 going into halftime.

This team amazes me, for all the wrong reasons.
