Among those predicting Denver will draft a CB...Miller tops the list of most likely candidate, and honestly, I don't know why.

The kid has good, not great measureables...his speed is in the elite class, & KO/PR abilities are a major plus

Problem is; these are the same attributes that led to the drafting of Deltha O'Neil (minus the remarkable speed)...and while Deltha wasn't a bust, he wasn't a solution either.

I get the sense that the Bronco staff may be just a touch on the wary side when it comes to late first round CBs.

At Safety...it's another story entirely...not that Denver has drafted too many early, but the ones they did, 2 of the three became legit Ring-Of-fame candidates.

Only Alton Montgomery was a bust, and he was a second rounder I believe...taken in the draft-challenged Dan Reeves era.

Of course, Dennis Smith & Steve Atwater were resounding successes...to Dan Reeves credit as well.

For this reason, AND the fact that the position falls neatly in the 'need' in-box, I'm leaning toward the Brodney Poole bandwagon...assuming he's there & the Broncos don't trade up or down (BIG 'ifs' in my mind)

As a caveat, I am suspicious any time the Broncos let it leak that they like somebody, and the Bronco Media folks have mentioned interest in Poole once or twice.

One thing is certain...he's definately in the mix & a serious consideration...if he's there.

I wouldn't mind snatching Poole in the first round. We definitely got a lot of options.
