Default Props to the Lady Bears

I would just like to give the Lady Baylor Bears their dues. The Baylor program has been under a lot of scrutiney. With the murder of mens player Denahey last year the whole sports program has felt the reprecussions. The Ladies making it to the championship game is a great and unexpected accomplishment.

I'm glad, especially because I hate LSU, but I gotta root for Michigan State tomorrow. Senior PG Kristin Haynie is a great story and I want to see her win the title after all she has gone through and how much she has done just to be able to play basketball still, plus my moms best friends daughter attends MSU, so I have another reason to cheer for the Spartans(along with them being a Big 10 school, not named the Michigan Wolverines.)

Still stunned how MSU beat my Lady Vols last night, little hungover(not literally hungover drinking wise, just mentally) still today because of it. Never seen a Pat Summitt team lose it's composure and just choke like that, I'm used to 16 point leads being an automatic win for UT, Michigan State showed a lot of heart and determination by comin back and pulling that one off.

I agree the Haynie story is a great one. But anyone living in Texas knows how bad it has been here.

I was hoping the Vols would win too. My Dad lived in Memphis and he liked the Vols.

I'd just like to see the Baylor women beat the Baylor men. I think they could do it.

As much as I hated it as a Lady Vols fan, them and UConn not winning a title is probably the best thing for womens hoops. Shows how much talent is out there now, with both MSU and Baylor being in their first ever Final 4 and now championship game.

Before this year, UConn and Tennessee combined for 8 of the last 10 championships, Purdue and Notre Dame were the only two winners. The popularity and widespread talent in womens basketball is growing as any team can knock off any team. We saw for the first time a 13 seed go to the sweet 16, for the first time in 4 year both Tennessee and UConn not in the final 4(UConn got knocked out in the sweet sixteen.)

It's jsut overall good for womens basketball that neither of those two teams are playing for the title, gives a new crowned champion and the belief that womens hoops is growing.

Go Big XII. At least the women made a good showing in the tourney, unlike the men...

Baylor wins it tonight, smoked the Spartans big time.

Congrats to the Baylor Lady Bears, they earned this one by beating three #1 seeds.

women's college basketball standards for a dynasty have been set to 3 straight titles, so Baylor has some work to do before talking about dynasty.

It was good to see Baylor win cuz of the Dennehy murder. But I was rooting for Mich. St.

Women's basketball is not that half bad.
