Default More great leadership.....

I swear this guy is going to destroy this country. We now have Americans volunteering, yes, volunteering to help cut down on illegal immigration, and the idiot opposes it. The response from his supporters should be interesting..

Bush decries border project

By James G. Lakely
THE WASHINGTON TIMES

WACO, Texas — President Bush yesterday said he opposes a civilian project to monitor illegal aliens crossing the border, characterizing them as "vigilantes."
He said he would pressure Congress to further loosen immigration law.
More than 1,000 people — including 30 pilots and their private planes — have volunteered for the Minuteman Project, beginning next month along the Arizona-Mexico border. Civilians will monitor the movement of illegal aliens for the month of April and report them to the Border Patrol.

The illegal immigration is the one big issue on which I don't agree with Bush. He's pandered to the illegal immigration crowd ever since he came on to the national scene.

The minuteman project is one of the best things to happen to this country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their action and media coverage of that will hopefully awaken Americans to what is happening to this country!!!!!!!

Hell no .......... My point is some good Smaritian could be out on Patrol and spot Drug smugglers , then what ? the Drug dealers pretend nothing is wrong ?

He's already taken the project of destroying America nearly to the point of no return.

I just wonder what it's going to take for the sheep who support and enable him to wake up.

Idiot
Sorry, but letting ordinary civilians "patrol" the border is just asking for trouble.

Which is worse, letting terrorists come and go into this country as they please or Americans bringing attention to that fact?

Well Bush already wants to cut the number of new border guards from 2000 down to 250. Now you tell me is this guy really making you feel safe? I mean the jerk ran his whole campaign on fear tactics which about how unsafe we would be if we voted for Kerry. Then he gets elected and he pulls this shet. I'm not saying that letting ordinary civillians patrol the border is a good idea, but do you see what it has come down to?

That's odd, it is reported that we are getting 150 more border guards today and 350 as soon as their training is completed. (And no I'm not talking about the Minutemen). The people near the border are absolutly under seige from the illegals, from the ranchers to the hospitals and on and on. something has got to be done.

I don't know if it is national news but the MS5- a mexican militia that supports the coyotes and drug smugglers is vowing to teach the minutemen a Lesson.

Last year's budget called for 2000 more border guards. This year's Bush budget calls for cutting that to 250. The M-Miltia had best not start a war with the American citizens. There are plenty of us that will do what Bush won't do and that's secure our borders.
