It looks like to me the radiers have totally abanded the defense in order to get the offense and they will get murdered against the patriots on the first game. Kerry Collins is just like Drew Bledsoe, when the pocket collaps they get nervous , but the radiers have good ol so it will be interesting to see how the radiers are this year.

At least the faid know how to use their talent, that is, Turner knows how to use the talent he has. Instead of cramming a square peg into a round hole, ala Shanny and his yes-men, he realizes that his LB corps is weak, and is using more 4-3.
Shanahan, on the other hand, has to be kicked and pushed into using his talent. The Broncos should have been using a base 3-4 for the past 3 years (maybe more). All they Broncos needed was a true NT. They already had Pryce and a few other good defensive lineman to make it work. Well, now, the Broncos are just starting to realize their LB depth and their dline weakness... it only took 5+ years or so... |

The whole 3-4 thing is nothing more than a fad... only a couple of teams run it well... now everyone wants to copy
I'm glad we're coming to our senses. Warren Sapp, Tyler Brayton, Gbaja Biamilla and others played out of position all last season! |

Go with your strengths... that is what the faid is doing. That is what the Broncos should have done a long time ago. The 3-4 is not a fad, if your talent is suited to the system. Same with the 4-3. |

Oh.. and I was just throwing this up there as some general info about a rival I thought was worth mentioning on a rival board... nothing more..
4-3 is the far better fit with this cast of characters. Sapp can play his 3 technique spot with Ted on the Nose. LDE is set with Brayton and Hamilton, and RDE I suspect will be Burgess/ Draft pick (I've been pimping Justin Tuck) Tommy Kelley (our sack leader last season) can spell Sapp at the UT spot, but a developmental NT is still needed to platoon with Ted. Our roster is chock full of weakside chase guys so either a MIKE or a SAM is a must in the 3rd (Seward) with Danny Clark manning the spot that's left (he played all 3 positions in Jax) 3-4 was an abortion putting several of our better players out of position where they were not effective... 6'6" 280 lb Tyler Brayton at the SAM ??Last edited by Raider Bill; 03-28-2005 at 08:48 PM.. |
