We can afford to wait. Its not like we have all pros on the line as it is. Take your time Courtney, just make the right choice.

I wouldn't say we NEED this guy. But, he is a good talent and it would be nice to have him. It definitely won't make or break our season. I'm in the middle on this poll. Keep Pryce, sign Brown, and draft Shaun Cody to team with Gerard Warren on the inside. Now, that is a talented line and all former 1st round picks. Crazy, but... I bet it would be successful.

Bronco off-season workouts officially begin April 4th, so it doesn't really matter if Brown signs now, or next week...or if he takes his gimpy game elsewhere.

The waiting game gets on some nerves, but not the coaches really as they plan the next step with Brown, or Pryce or a draft choice...they have several options...NONE pressing at this second.

He isn't even supposed to start RUNNING till May. All we need is another "I'll be ready by opening day" routine like last year. At least Pryce says he's ready to go.

We should redo his contract to 5 years, move the remaining bonus money into it and slap another 5 million bonus on it. 10-12 million bonus over 5 years with another high back end. That would lower him to around 3-4 million this year. Remember, Denver still has to pay off that SB if he's traded of around 5 million as he's got two years left on the contract. It's his base salary that's out of whack, especially after his back injury. Sure he "feels good", what else is he going to say. But I wouldn't mind extending him if he's reasonable about it and puts in a two tiered bonus. He's going to get that type of contract anyway.

Obviously, we would be crazy to simply push his fat cat salary into signing bonus. He's still going to clear around 35 million for his career here under that scenario.

They are always optomistic when rehabbing, wasn't Pryce going to be ready for the Atlanta game last year?

I'm talking about Brown. He can't run till May. I believe Pryce when he says he's ready. As has been discussed, the nerve needed to regnerate. Supposedly the back is fine. Of course, now, it's more iffy to move him back inside. He doesn't have great speed at all outside, but that's never been his strength anyway. As long as he contains and manages to push the rollout deep, he's doing his job. He's not going to chase down a speedy QB on the rollout, but he takes correct angles.

I'm tired of the "potential" argument.... he's injury prone and an under achiever. Been there done that.

For the first time since Snyder bought the team, we are not overpaying players. We are staying quiet so far this offseason. Our best signing is Casey Rabach a center who should help us immensly.

Gregg Williams is confident in the players we have on defense. We wont miss Smoot like most think we will. Our big loss was our MLB Pierce. He played good ball last year but we did not overpay for him after only one year as a starter. Its just different that we are not throwing $$ around like the past. I think the Broncos and Skins were alike when it came to spending.

Gibbs is taking apart the offense and gonna make it work this year. Coles was not the player he was his first year with us because of his toe and Gibbs accepted his wanting out of D.C. by trading him. We take a 9mil cap hit this year because of it. Gibbs is telling the players, if you dont want to be a Redskin, pack your bags. Bold move with what it did to our cap but I think the writing is on the walls at Redskin Park.

I know you all have heard the possibilites of Skins-Broncos opening day and I will be at that game. Any tailgaters mind a Redskin fan hanging out with them?

Being in the district myself it seems that you've done a decent job of shipping off the malcontents and working to develop a nucleus of solid players who aren't flava clowns. And you're wrong, the best move you made this offseason was sending La-Va-Anus Coles packing. A receiver who can't seem to receive is really no good, you got the best end of that deal.
