My sentiments exactly. I want Courtney Brown bad. However, I feel this thread is going to jinx it. It's a bad omen. Please send it to the horses butt!

I'm really hoping the Broncos get Brown, ask him to trim down to 270 (just above his college weight), and let him play up or down depending on our alignment. Like Chris said several times, nobody seems to understand how much of an athlete Courtney Brown really is..... one of his main problems since being drafted is trying to play at the 290 lb range. In college he ran right around 260-270. He was as fast as Lavar and even more of a play maker. I think when he was drafted #1 overall the Browns put a lot of pressure on him. They wanted him to be a Reggie White type player..... but he is more like a Jason Taylor type. He isn't going to overpower people. He was never a bull rusher and never was powerful enough to slap and swim. Get him in a little bit of space and he'll be effective. Allow him to lose some weight and he'll be more effective and more than likely injury free. At the very least he'll be less likely to reinjure his lower body.

Some of you know that I'm a pretty big JoePa fan. I've liked and followed Penn St for many years and I'm excited to have one of the more special Nittany Lions on the Broncos D.

Warren and Brown will be part of a pretty solid rotation, where they dont have to play every down every game. a healthy pryce greatly lessens the amount of pressure on the rest of the defensive line. a few young guys, like a roth or a pollack or a spears or a babineux to the mix makes this a fairly solid defensive line.

The best thing about Warren is he's in a contract year.

Get Brown and Douglas. Keep TP and move him back to DT. Heavily rotate the dline to keep 'em healthy and this line could be pretty damn good. Warren and TP inside along with Brown and an UNDERRATED Douglas outside? I'd be quite pleased.

We are in a no-lose situation with Warren. If he plays well, we will keep him. If not by a contract extension then by franchising him. If he is terrible and can't escape his past, we let him walk.

Brown probably will be in the same situation.

How many people there know that Pryce is a DE?

Raise your hands!

How many people know that a DE doesn't routinely play on the inside?

Raise your hands!

How many of you people who keep saying Trevor Pryce should be put back on the inside bad back and all think that is a great idea?

Slap your face! Harder!

If you write The PLAN on a piece of paper really fast, squint your eyes and let the dyslexia kick in doesn't it read The PAIN?

It's probably just me I can't even spelt dyslexia without looking it up.

so what do u think about warren and brown. I know you just called them fat slobs basically but is there really something we can be optimistic about regarding these guys. Is it true Gerard played better towards the end of the season? When Courtney is healthy is he good? Is my boy Andre King still on your team?

Still a little testy are we??

I remember your little friends all dressed up in your favorite canine outfits waving back & forth with the "Pasadena Here We Come" just as 'The Drive'
got underway...have the whole game on tape...commericals & all

Watch it every once in a while just to see that

Gives failure a real face

Really? If the Broncos sign Brown, they'll have landed both he and Warren while giving up only a single 4th round pick.

The Browns gave up the 1st and 3rd overall picks in the draft to get them.......and you're running smack at us?

Ummmm, yeah.

And until you rip our hearts out on our home field with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line, we'll have "The Drive" scoreboard on you forever.

But you said crossing the streams was bad Ray...

Awfully long thread for basically no news...I'm thinking 3 million, 15 over 5 with incentives. I hope we didn't bend over for this guy. I was leaning towards Douglas just on health. Hopefully we will still pick up DL in one of the first two rounds.
