Denver's historic (?) schedule - The Orange Mane

Does anyone have any links to stats about Denver's 2009 schedule?
I was told by a workmate (not a Bronco fan) that this "stretch" we started 2 weeks ago is one of the most ridiculously difficult collection of games EVER scheduled. (Not sure if that's true.)

2009 - Denver play:
8 of the last 9 teams to win a Super Bowl.
3 of the 4 teams from last year's Conference championship games. (plus 2 other '08 playoff teams)

Just to make it through with a winning record would be an awesome feat!

There's a LOT of work still to be done!

Last I looked, ESPN rated Denver's strength of schedule 19th.

This is similar to other rankings.

as if this and all the other stats make any f-ing sense after the season starts.

everything is based on last years records and has nothing to do with improvements made by teams during the off season.

Agreed. It's all subjective until the season is over.

Yeah, I thought about that. It's like the 09 Cincinnati giant KILLERS and Tennessee LOSERS, last year they were opposites!

FYI:
in 1999, the broncos were the first team in NFL history to have every one of it's opponents finish .500 or better.

they were 6-10 that year

that wont happen this year.

We have faced or will face at least 4 teams which will not sniff .500 (Browns, Faiders,Queefs,Deadskins)

and we will not be 6-10 (guaranteed)

Based on last year, plus the fact we play the other AFC West teams twice. That's where they apply the "easy team" aspect. Then the Bengals, who weren't good last year, the Browns.

Ya, anyone that knows anything about football would look at all 16 games and say, wow, denver has a tough schedule.

We play the best teams in AFC and NFC (minus saints/ vikings)

The preseason "hardest" and "easiest" schedule rankings always have a way of changing, often dramatically.

The layout of the schedule means just as much as opponents' W-L of the previous year, as in, we're fortunate that our earliest pair of tough opponents, Dallas and NE, were at home. The next two tough ones, Pittsburgh and th Giants, are also at home. By the time we head out for the toughest road games, Indy and Philly, we'll probably already have the division wrapped up. The home-road sequencing set up pretty nicely.

Prior to Week 14, our only tough road opponent is Baltimore, and that's after the Bye. Sequencing is really important.

well when you have the chiefs and raiders in your division, your always gonna get some of the worst, but......its better to have the best and worst teams, instead of the worst teams and then just average teams.

It's a load of **** thanks to Kansas City and Oakland. Take them out and we shoot to the top.

San Diego has a "harder one than us" and they have Miami and Tennessee while we have NE and Indy.

Plus those rankings don't take into account that we play teams coming off their bye week 4 ****ing times.

Which has only a minor benefit statistically. Teams historically win only about 60% of the time coming out of a bye.

We just beat one of them (SD) and Baltimore we face with both of us coming off the bye. Only two more after next week.

Pretty sure we only play 3 teams after their respective bye week. SD, Bal, Pit.

I thought I heard it on MNF (?) that there's only ever been ONE team that has won back to back games against opponents coming off a bye.
