Default Do We Still Go for D-Line?

I have been cheering for D-lineman with our first pick. With Trevor in fold now, do we still go for D-line?

On one hand we got so many injured players on most of our acquisitions, I am not sure we really have true depth in that area.

On the other hand we have so many players now, four from cleveland, on D-line, you would figure at least one or two of them should be able to contribute.

What you guys think?

I hope they try and trade down for two seconds for that first or early 2cd and third, but the problem is that there is more than one team that picks ahead of us who is trying to do the same thing in all likelihood.

There is great value in this draft in the second and third rounds because there are few true playmakers that can contibute right away outside of the top 10. Picks 11-45 are all potential type players with drawbacks to starting in year one. There is no single clear cut DL in this draft who could play anywhere. This is really a good year to draft guys who fit the systems they will play. The two comp picks will be interesting since I think there should be some great players left at Area's of need for DEN.

Many people here agree that the DL needs to get some developmental young guys on day one and I agree. Just where do we get them. The top tier is gone by the late second and that leaves the first round pick. The only thing that would be good for Den is either Spears or Shaun Cody dropping to 25. Otherwise, most of the DL left at 25 will be a reach

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but there are just too many bodies on the DL in the present to draft one high. And it's pretty obvious that Shanny is in win-now mode. He's probably going to be looking to upgrade elsewhere, unless someone unexpectedly falls.

How many guys are signed to 1 year deals? Those aren't bodies, those are people who make the team if no one beats them out.
