I really think we need to go after Patrick Surtain or Ty Law, this team needs another good cornerback to help out Champ. I would love to have Surtain or Law after we deal with the C. Brown situation.

Good Lord. We have about 15 on the roster allready that suck. We are paying Champ the money for TWO number ones as it is.
Don't even start on our horrible drafting and overpayment of corners. It's one of the major reasons we are always tight on the cap. Dale Carter, Middlebrooks, Deltha, Champ isn't exactly cheap, but he can't be two places at once. The "plan" if to have an undrafted FA as our #2, and another, Roc, as our #3 I guess. I'm sorry, but the secondary has taken a big step backward as well. Fergy can move up, but who is behind him? Sam Brandon? Can Lynch still move or is he Atwater with the Jets? What about our draft choices, LeSewer and Choke? We have plenty of bodies. |

Addressing a position that isn't a glaring weakness with minimal cap room, that would just piss me off. Next you'll suggest they throw millions at an unnecessary Mini Linebacker.

The Broncos have obviously given all monies allocated for the CB position to Champ Bailey. Which as I remember (per Bronco fans) was a smart move, because defense wins championships.

Corners have become less important with the current rules. That is why so many high priced ones are being dumped by their teams.
Name the starting CBs in the Super Bowl. |

I think they are happy with Middlebrooks as the nickleback, which is why they gave Herndon the lowball offer
Now he just has to stay healthy |

We still need to address the issue, we need another good corner, and whatever plan we can come up with to get one, we should do it. The management needs to get creative like they always do. Shanny knows we need more help in the secondary, hopefully during this owners meeting, something will get done by way of a trade or something. I just don't trust our secondary the way it is now. Something has to be done real quick. Like i said earlier, i would love to have Surtain.

uh....CB....I would rather have a d-line at the current moment. Our d-line presently is Warren, Fatafehi, Paleopi (whatever the hell is name is) and
at the other DE position. If that gets settled and we still have money to toss around why the hell not. |

Im all in favor of picking up another corner but first we should think about picking up a few more linebackers and punters.

I second that...what this team lacks is a really good overpriced midget LB...we get that and we are set for the super bowl!!!

Finkle was right...the Broncos have no money to spend on the secondary. We just have to hope that Walls and Roc can step it up. I doubt that the Broncos are going to be able to afford Herndon. ffice
ffice" />I really hate to see Kennedy go. He is one of the best Safeties in the league. It wasn’t until that Atlanta game that he even had a missed tackle last year…and at that point the only Bronco with more tackles was D.J. Williams. The Broncos do have some Safeties to step in. If you remember, last year the Broncos kept five Safeties on the roster. Fergy should be able to fill in adequately and Chris Young and Sam Brandon provide depth at the Free and Strong Safety positions. Both of those players are great bargains in the secondary, with salaries of less than $400,000 a year. |

Thank you and Welcome. 56, If they didn't put the 1st round tag on him, why would they almost pay that to match him. 3 million isn't a lot? When you are only under the cap by 3 million this year and may have to each Pryce's salary next year, it is titanic... |

I think so too, they have money to sign C. Brown and then we can concentrate on getting a good young fast CB and a tall WR in the Draft. If we keep Pryce and sign Brown, our first 2 picks should be CB or WR, or WR or CB.

Denver needs to get the pass rush and the d-line fixed before adding another CB. The money is going to be in the d-line with the current rules. You could have a secondary of Bailey, Mcalister, Reed, Dawkins, and Woodson as the nickleback and it still wouldn't make that much of a difference unless you have a d-line. A true FS would go a long way to fix coverage problems more than another CB with that cover 2 Denver likes to play.
