I was just about to post this. It's not going to happen. But the possibility is there. That's why earlier I said 1 and 7 are boned.

And if they agree on something, whoever the target ends up being is a goner anyway.

by the way, it is funny watching people try and "predict" a sequence of probabilities with 100+ possible combinations

Clock can't move to mine and I can't move to his. Both are as lucky to be blown up.

Everyone lobs at 7, clock takes damage no matter which way he goes. Everyone else is safe.
In that event, 7 moves to either one or 6 and does take 5 damage. However, he can still dish out 3 of his own. So he, like rascal, also has a bargaining chip.

Meanwhile, rascal, whose situation looked hopeless a minute ago, now has a way out, because he can move to hole #2 and avoid taking any damage unless Clockwork targets him.

Meanwhile, if both rascal and Clockwork team up and toss their pineapples at Hole #4, that would be 6 damage to theDave and Spider, who would both die.

So Clockwork could have a way out too.

Edit: Furthermore, the same strategy could be employed against anyone. There is no limit on how many guys can jump in a given hole. Thus, if any 5 of you all agreed to blow up any given sixth guy, the two guys nearest him would just move away from him by one foxhole, and he'd be the only one to take damage. So Clockwork is really no worse off than anyone else in that respect.

It's the years of math and science. No one here really wants to leave the game, so we start going through the mathmatical possibilities in our heads. I just happened to see the 1 and 7 thing and decided to report it so they can start picking up their consolation prizes

If that scenario happens exactly as proposed.

I think it's more likely 1 *or* 7 are boned. I predict some may go gunning for the inner holes to take advantage of bunching. Certainly I could see the need for 1 and 7 to collaborate. Deals gotta get made boys!

And this is all assuming that one of you guys doesn't blow it and drop the pineapple down your own pants ...

... or take off running across deadman's land screaming and wailing ....

... or misses the vote ...

...or has already voted without giving a lot of thought to any of this ...

Well of course there are outs to any proposal. But....things have to work out.
If everyone wants to live this round I'll tell you what to do.

Everyone tosses their nade to 4.
3 moves to 2,
2 to 1
1 stays put
5 moves to 6
6 moves to 7 seven stays put
only thing blown up is a rotting corpse.

i still don't understand how 1 & 7 are in trouble? every position has the ability to move 1 position right or left.... and anyone can throw at any position... that would make every one equal down to a fraction of a %

Now if you are taking into account that most people hate rascal, then yes position 1,2,&7 are in trouble as a mater of probability...

In which case we apply tiebreakers resulting in the deaths of rascal and yourself.

people currently occupying 1 and 7 are high targets right now. Rascal with his high wound count, and clock with is really low one.

The other problem with everyone coordinating their attacks is that it just takes one rogue grenade toss to really put a fly in the ointment.

Actually, I think TD30 is the one you should talk to about that. And Crush and Majik.

No matter how I structure the situation, your wound total is a big problem in the tiebreaker department.

You do have the problem of the vacant hole over on #4.

On the other hand, you get to dodge the main thrust of any grenade blast thrown at your hole, and the fact that we are eliminating two this round gives you a definite bargaining chip.

I'd say your chances are at least as good as if we had a straight up elimination vote.

But we'll find out ...

I'm just throwing this out not to be a dick, but to keep people talking. Yesterday was boring when no one was on to discuss. Per first page, first post rules.

"In cases of tied votes to eliminate someone, the person who has the most total previous votes against them will be shipped off the island. I will refer to these as "wounds" and will keep a running tally. If that is also tied, the next tiebreaker will be "scalps." You earn a "scalp" when you have successfully participated in voting someone else off the island in the round in which they were eliiminated. I will keep a tally of these as well. If that is also tied, I will devise a "sudden death" tiebreaker.."

A nade is a vote basically. If you choose not to vote for someone on the island, (or blown up for this round) you can't have a tied vote. There would be no votes for anyone other than the dead guy. So then you're throwing people off the island for good strategy with a rule that isn't stated. It would be the same if everyone decided not to vote this round. Everyone would get kicked off except the dead dude, but he can't win because he's dead. So then everyone would have to be let back on the island or you would have to kick off the two with the highest wound count. Once again, not a vote against them as stated in the rules so you're bringing out the tiebreaker without justification according to the rules.

I know, I know, I'm a dick for bringing this up. I had an energy drink about 20 minutes ago and my mind is really pumping out **** and I'm argumentive today.

It is indeed funny. None of my proposals will happen. I'm just throwing them out there for the hell of it. I blame Monster and their wonderful energy drinks.
