Too many chicken littles around here. The sky isn't falling. So what if there are two kicker signed at this point. If they all make the final roster spot, then complain.

Your right, we have loads of money to spend on all these big names. i dont know why we allowed Moss to go to our rivals in Oakland. and why didnt we snatch up Muhammad and get Burress. we got all kinds of money to get guys like Carter and Howard, why has the Broncos just let all these guys go. we have UNLIMITED funds!!!!!!!

not.

I don't care if we sign 12 kickers if we can improve special teams. These clowns either outkick Knorr or they get dick. Calm down. Jesus.

It's not like we gave up our 4th and 2.3 million for a one year contract on a fat ass that doesn't want to play NT or anything...

The guy wants to see success, what's the problem? We haven't seen success in a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time. Shanny sat all comfortable in his chair, legs crossed, confident smile on his face at his season-ending press-conference and specifically said "We're only a couple players away."

If you want to be a homer, that's fine, but don't bust someones chops that's calling Shanny to task.

Come on, Mock. It takes cap money to sign anybody. Anybody at all takes cap room.

Shanny's been playing this game where he signs losers every year eating up cap room. Last year he signed 3 vet TE's, when he'd been saying for 2 years how Putzier was gonna be his guy, and that took 3 million off the cap, and gee, guess what, Putzier was his guy. He keeps bringing in DL's at bargain-basement prices to compete that eat up cap room then get cut, instead of drafting one damn stud. Same thing at WR, LB. There are some serious questions that Shanny is an idiot. Events have given legitimacy to the questions.

Every team has minimum salary guys. Every team brings in vets at a cheap price. Every team overstocks at a lot of positions during the offseason. No team goes into camp with 53 high priced players that have their roster spots locked up.

Sure, I get your point. But Shanahan said "we're only a couple guys away." Those two guys were punters? This is just another example of Shanahan and Bowlen playing silly games just because they can.

There's legitimate questions about the FO handling of the team. If I remember correctly, there's a lot of teams that have won playoff games since the last Bronco playoff win. And there's a lot of tems that actually competed in playoff games since Denver's last playoff win. Denver's not even in the competed category. There's an FO problem in Denver, and there's a coaching problem in Denver.

No. None of the other 8000 venting threads we've had in the last 10 days did, this one won't either.

The Broncos have made moves to improve. The pass rush was weak, so they are switching to the 3-4, and they brought back Gold to make the LBs even better than what they already were. So the losses of Hayward and possibly Pryce won't hurt the team. If they are switching to the 3-4 it would be dumb to have one DE with a cap number over $9 mil, and give the other DE a $25 million contract. If the pass rush is better next year then all this crying was for nothing.

They lose Kennedy, but many thought Ferguson was better. I thought Kennedy was better, but not by much.

Offensively they need to fill in that RG spot. They are solid everywhere else on O. Sure, they could use an upgrade in other places on the O, but do they need to go after a big name? No.

They aren't far off at all. If the 3-4 works, that's worth the two players that they needed.

I'll stop short of agreeing with you... Can anyone on the OM show concrete proof that the donks are moving to a 3-4 defense? Post a link or something. The signing of Ian Gold doesn't mean you're going 3-4 the loss of dlinemen doesn't mean you're going 3-4. The only thing that is being proved is that your salary cap is restricting you from getting the best players available right now!

Kicker wasnt a need?

A glaring need?

One of our biggest problems?

I think it was. Though I can side with you about signing TWO, maybe at least one of them will be worth a sh*t and we can actually get some decent field positioning going this year.

I got tired of teams starting at our own 45 yard line last year and us starting at the damn 15.

It doesn't matter if they can outkick Knorr since he was sent packing before the season ended. There is a need for punter. What happened to all the "competition" gurus?

Get a grip people. Every year they sign a bunch of players as camp fodder. Why anyone gets their knickers in a knot over such a piddly thing as a couple guys being given a chance is beyond me.
