Pass catching TE - The Orange Mane

We need one...badly. Graham was targeted twice with a drop and an offensive PI call. Quinn & Gronkowski were active which is the best thing I can say about them. I'm not trying to turn this into shoulda kept Scheffler thing, but we need to address this position at some point. This offense doesn't use the TE as much as the previous one, but if we throw it out there we need someone who can catch it. Hopefully we can address this in the offseason, I think we'll be shopping for a new #1 TE anyway might as well get one that can catch.

When the **** did you see an NFL game with 3 offensive PI calls? Refs get a memo to make lousy calls all day? WTF.

If you throw to the TE, you need one that can catch it. The 3 we have are extra linemen.

In Graham's defense, that was a horrible pass on the throwback screen.

Good thing DT put it in a couple plays later.

Grahams pass was badly thrown but we definitely miss having any sort of threat at TE.

Yea, I remember that play. Didn't look very catchable.

But, there may have been one I'm not remembering.

Graham is definitely a blocking TE, primarily. He's got good hands. He actually contributed some key catches last year. This year has been rough for him. But, our problems don't lie in the passing game.

+1 Popps....Our problems don't lie in the passing game! Although it would be nice to have a TE that can catch and take advantage of slow LB's. It would be nice to still have Scheffler though! He made more big catches even being hurt all the time than Graham and his huge contract!

Considering that drive ended in a TD what ****ing difference does it make that Graham did not make an impossible catch on a badly thrown ball that would have gotten 3 yards anyway?

Broncos ran for 145 yards today.

Denver ran for 127 yards in the 2008 game.

The TE in this offense was like the FB in Shanahan's offense. How often did any of Denver's FB's make up a large % of the passing game? Why dont you understand that the TE is never going to be a focal point in this offense?

You want a guy on the roster who is listed as a TE, but cant block and whose sole purpose for being on the roster is to make an impossible 3 yard catch once in awhile?

Unfortunately he is slower than an asthmatic snail, on that throwback if he had any kind of burst, speed, legs, ability to move, he would have been wide open for a big gain. Orton also tried a downfield pass to him, but overthrew him by a solid 10 yards because Graham is just that slow.
