I'm amazed Nevada is only 47th and not dead last. The Feds **** us blind and we keep asking for more.
The federal government controls 87% of the land in Nevada through the Bureau of Land Management. Apparently they can also stroll in and seize and auction away your cattle if you happen to get into a dispute with them over land rights. Its just sickening how craven most state politicians are in the face of Washington. A bunch of ****ing bootlickers in this state. |

I just noticed something...how many of those states with the worst ranking were the same states that voted for Kerry or where the race was close?
California* $0.79 44 Colorado $0.81 42 Connecticut $0.67 49 Delaware $0.82 41 District of Columbia $6.59 1 Illinois $0.72 46 Indiana*$0.96 36 Massachusetts* $0.79 44 Michigan $0.86 39 Minnesota $0.69 48 Nevada $0.70 47 New Hampshire $0.65 50 New Jersey $0.58 51 New York $0.80 43 Ohio $1.01 32 Oregon $0.99 34 Pennsylvania $1.07 28 Rhode Island $1.06 29 Washington $0.91 38 Wisconsin $0.83 40 |

I bothered to create a scatterplot of the dollar amounts vs. Bush (or Kerry, doesn't really matter) and there's no clear correlation.
DC is a real aberration - 93% for Kerry, and $6.59 back for every $1. But it's government is screwy, so I excluded it. |
