I am excited that somebody is excited about Coach Karl. I was wondering if he was going to b another Issel or not. I have liked Coach Karl in the past but wondered what the time off might have done for him.

I don't know if what we saw tonight was an aberration or not, but if it's what we can expect from this team from here on in I'm getting very excited.

First, Karl shortened the bench and went with an 8 man rotation. These guys make big bucks, play the big minutes. The less we see of Rodney White and Francisco Elson the better.

Carmelo looked like a kid trying to impress his new coach because he was brilliant. Not just the 10 of 19 shooting for 25 points, but the way he sprinted out on the break, passed the ball effectively and overall busted his ass all game long. Keep that up kid and you'll quiet a lot of critics. Stay on him George.

The word for the night was unselfish. The Nuggets passed the ball, moved without the ball and passed some more. They ended up with 27 assists as a team and scored a lot of easy baskets. Karl said after the game, "We're not a good shooting team, but so long as we pass the basketball we can be a good scoring team." Couldn't agree more, though I would like to see that little shooting problem solved (that Michael Redd guy we saw tonight would look good in powder blue).

Nice debut, but the task gets tougher tomorrow night in Indy. Keep after it!

Make that 2-0 under Karl as the Nuggets got their first win ever at Canseco Fieldhouse over the Pacers tonight.

I like what I see so far. Unselfish play, sharing the ball, much better defensive rotation and the results are two road wins.

Hopefully they can carry it over to Tuesday night at home against the Knicks.

Wow. Completely different team. New attitude, new aggressiveness. They're fun to watch again. Melo's driving to the hoop. Karl's preaching defense.

I hate this sh*t. Every time they get me excited, they break my heart again. I'm trying hard not to get pumped (I've eliminated the playoffs this year), but damn.......if we can keep building this season and add a key piece or two this off-season (draft and free agent).....wow.

I saw one of the ESPN shows the other day, and the heads on that show said that Karl was/is a business partner of Kroenke's(sp?)...That's interesting. He may be in a situation in which the owner would take his side in a player revolt type situation...

As far as Carmelo goes...I don't watch nearly as much basketball as a lot of you people on this board do, but I see 'Melo as needing a strong head coach. Not a player's coach per se...but a coach who can light a fire under his ass when he's acting the fool...it could be a match made in Heaven...he and Karl. The kid is wicked talented...he just needs a serious kick in the ass once in awhile.

Something that LeBron James doesn't need...

Exactly. He has way too many people telling him how great he is, he needs somebody to put his ass in check from time to time.

And LeBron does have it in Paul Silas, and that's part of the reason his game has improved since last year, IMO. People give LeBron all the credit for being a special talent, which he is... But Silas had a big hand in that, I think.

Make that 3 in a row for the Nuggets under Karl after a 20 point win over the Knicks tonight.

Amazing what this team can do when they play such unselfish basketball.

Keep it up!

The fact that this team can't hit anything from the outside consistantly, combined with the fact that they've shot around 50% from the field the last two games tells me that Karl is doing something very right.

They still can't shoot, but the execution is better. The passing is better. The energy is better. The effort is better. Karl has them playing to their strengths.

I don't think it's any coincidence that as soon as the team started sharing the ball and running more, Kenyon Martin's production has improved. He's a post up player, a demon under (and above) the rim and a big man who sprints the floor. Again, they're playing to their strength.

Statistically speaking this game wasn't anything eye popping for Carmelo, but the effort and hustle on both ends of the floor was the best I've seen out of him all season. He got 19 points (on 8 of 15 shooting), 7 rebounds and 5 assists despite the fact that he sat out most of the 4th quarter due to the game being well in hand. If he brings that kind of effort every night he'll silence a lot of critics. Keep it up kid.

Get this team a bonafide outside threat and they'll make up the necessary ground to get to the playoffs. I promise.

I think that 8 for 15 is eye popping in itself, he's been shooting a lot better percentage-wise lately. From the outside looking in it seems average, but Melo has been shooting in like the 30's for most of the season, nice to see him higher the past few games.
