Default Guess which organization:

* has a little more than 500 employees

* 29 have been accused of spousal abuse

* 7 have been arrested for fraud

* 19 have been accused of writing bad checks

* 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses

* 3 have done time for assault

* 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit

* 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges

* 8 have been arrested for shoplifting

* 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits

* 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this is?

Give up yet?

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress - the same group of crooks and jackasses that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

Is there any way you can break those numbers down along party lines? How many Republicans have been arrested for fraud? How many Dems? How many Republicans have been convicted of writing bad checks? How many Dems?

Just curious.

That's what I call representative government.

BTW, that's about 10 years outdated, check on some new numbers. I'm sure one of your little cronies has them.

I love it how party liners think that only one party is the majority for such things.

**** you party liners!

You **** this country up more than in-action.

What difference does it make... I think it would be more interesting if you asked how many People of Religion vs Atheists wrote bad checks

BTW, I believe Iran Contra Ron's administration produced the greatest number of convicted felons of any administration in U.S. history.

And the members of the Reagan family have gone out of their way to distance themselves from the Smirk & Sneer administration in the interest of protecting their reputation and family name.

What does that say about the bush junta?

Hehe....

And I wonder how many atheists claim to collect money for God, tell folks to send cash for "prayer cloths," give a dime for "annointing oil," or other such worthless trinkets?

But I agree: I'd like to see how many people of god write bad checks compared to atheists. I think the results would be more than milding surprising.

I can tell you right now that there are more "people of god" that write bad checks than atheists. Simply because there are more people of god in this country than atheists. Anyways, I'm on day 15 of quiting smoking. I'm in a bad mood today. I don't want numbers...I want names. That way I can point and laugh!

Day 15...you're in the clear. No worries, just chew gum. When I gave up the dip I went through 3 packs of gum a day. It was madness.

Anyway, my sympathies and best wishes. I love nicotine, I just wish the fashion in which we get it into our systems didn't kill us. And don't give me that patch crap, I need the dip in the lip..... Ahhhh hell, I'm going for a can of Copenhagen.

Not if the administration you're backing has its way.

If your benefits are history by the time you retire then you can thank Bush Inc. for its "reforms."

The actuarial tables don't withstand the number of retiree/worker ratio. It's simple math. If a system does exist it's going to be a shell of what it is now. It's a matter of simple math. You can't have 2 worker supporting every 1 retiree at the same rate and benefits for the same amount of time that exist currently in the system. It's a broken system.

Wrong.

The only thing the system can't "withstand" is Bush Inc.'s looting of its surpluses and general dismantling/privitization efforts (which, BTW, will add trillions more to the already-monstrous debt.)

The system isn't "broken."

Bush is just lying to the American people again, i.e., business as usual.
