I'd love to go, but this stuff is too pricey for me. I'd rather just go to a normal Nugs game.

Can't argue with that. $40 a pop for seats in the upper level. But, I'm an NBA mark, so I shelled out. Now I just need to find out when the actual All Star Game tickets go on sale.

Doubt you'll sniff those without a scalper. Season ticket holders have a lottery for the seats that the NBA doesn't reserve for celebrities.

Interesting. I was wondering why they hadn't popped up on TicketMaster yet. So even season ticket holders aren't guaranteed a ticket to the All Star Game?

The Rookie/Sophmore game is always a good one...I enjoyed last years Lebron, Carmelo show...This year should be fun as well...I was at Staples last year during the All Star festivities and had a blast...Im sure you will too Rhymersayers...have fun, let us know how it went...

Pepsi Center hosted the 2001 NHL All-Star game and I was very lucky as a season ticket holder to even get tickets. I had a high enough priority number that I got tickets in the upper deck, even though my regular seats are in the lower bowl. Many season ticket holders couldn't get tickets.

I'm going to see if I can get some seats to the dunk contest and 3 point shootout. I've always wanted to see one of these live and this will be my best chance.

Ah. Well, looks like no all-star game for me most likely.

I want to go to the Dunk/3 Point Contests as well, but can't find tickets. I don't know what the NBA's deal is, because they don't have an All-Star 2005 page on NBA.com. The only all-star stuff they have is links to an on-line ballot. They also never announced that the Rookie/Soph tickets were going on sale today. I was lucky enough to check TicketMaster yesterday and come across them.

I wish they would post a schedule of events, ticket sale times, etc. I know they have their Jam Session deals at the Convention Center, but besides the Rookie/Soph tickets I got today, I haven't seen anything else for All-Star Weekend.

EDIT: Came across the All Star webpage for last year, and it looks like they had the rookie/soph deal on friday, then "all star saturday night" (dunks/3 points/etc) the next night, and then the all star game on Sunday, for anybody interested.

The Rookie/Sophmore game is during the All-Star festivities...so I imagine if you bought tickets for that, you'll see the Dunk Contest, 3pt Shootout, and 2-ball...Thats the way it was for me last year here in LA...I paid like 25 bucks or something from a scalper, and walked in early Saturday and didnt leave until way after the Dunk Contest finished...

That would surprise me if it's the case this year. The Rook/Soph game is definately at a different time than the dunk and 3 point contests. The NBA knows that they can charge for both of those and clean up, so they probably will.
