Default East-West US Army game: Saturday January 15th @ 1PM

For all you recruiting buffs and people that want to check out the HS seniors that are 4 and 5 star recruits, check this all-star game out.

http://www.hs-allstars.com/roster.htm

There are the rosters and schools they've committed to, its a tad outdated as some have committed and other have de-committed, but it will be a fun game to watch!

DJ Hord, will he go to Notre Dame or Kansas State? I'll say Notre Dame...he will choose during halftime.

the site has a mistake. Martellus Bennett is no longer a U commit, while DajLeon Farr is.

SoCal, any thoughts on how this recruiting class is shaping up? I guess RJF is not going to Miami because of academic issues.

well we just lost our only QB, Derek Shaw. He said Miami is too far away after being committed to us for 6 months. I guess he didnt feel comfortable in Fla. during his CaliFlorida Bowl experience. I dont think we will lose Antone Smith to Auburn. He is supposed to be an awesome back. The team that has hurt us is Tennessee. I guess Fulmer's Street Agent is doing a really good job $recruiting$ in Dade. Our OL recruiting looks real good right now, real good, which is a damn good thing considering the last two years line. We have ZERO current WRs in the class as of now. I know we have Leggett for at least 2 more years but thats about it so far as proven young talent. Jolla has shown nothing. Moore, with a good year next year could be gone. Jenkins is okay nothing special. We could easily have a WR crisis on our hands in 2006 and we DONT HAVE A SINGLE COMMIT at WR. Coker better have some silents or else. Weve got Farr at TE. He is a real good blocker and ranked No. 1 by Scout.com but i liked Bennett better who is going to Texas. The staff supposedly really likes Farr though. DLine, weve got Antonio Dixon who is supposed to be a real take up space and eat up lanes inside monster being able to qualify in this upcoming august after a year in prep school. Joe Joseph finally got in although i thought he was a reach to begin with. We have missed out on some studs this year on the DLine though but i think we can get Udofia. Our DLine has alot of young good depth for the future so it isnt a big deal. Anderson, Campbell, Moncur, Pata etc. we are fine from the last two classes there.....assuming they pan out. The staff is totally in love with Anderson. We got DE/LB Spencer Adkins who is one of the best athletes in the country and a top 3 prospect in Fla. This guy should be a stud at the U. The rest of our LB corps looks okay not super though. We seem to have loaded up on the instinctive but not physically gifted LBs this year. Only physical beast as Adkins. Sharpton and Houston are more sought out for their natural instincts. We will have a Super DB class if it all pans out. Randy Phillips has lit it up at the CaliFlorida Bowl and the US Army All star game practices, Bruce Johnson has been impressive and we have a good shot at landing Avery Atkins the No. 2 Florida Corner behind Demetrius Morley (UT commit). The final piece of the puzzle is top rated safety Kenny Phillips, i think he will resist the Tennessee Pre$$ure and stay home, he loves the U but i dont know how much dough they are throwing in front of him. It might get close. As to RJF, what can you say, what a waste of talent. The guy is the NO. 1 DE IN AMERICA HANDS DOWN and nobody besides NC State can offer him because his grades are absolutely in the dumps almost beyond recovery. I hope somehow we can get him in the class, i am sick of our administration ****ing things up like they did with Kellen Heard who waited another 6 months to come and was practcing with us during the summer and dominating at DT and then just a few weeks ago the administration dicked him again. RJF will be a beast when he eventually hits the field to whoever he plays for.

Thanks for the info . Hopefully either Freeman or Wright turns into a stud QB, so losing Shaw won't be such a big deal. We'll definitely need a big time QB in the 2006 class, I guess.

Do you think the lack of WR's is because of the depth at that postion currently? You'd think it would be easy to recruit WR's to Miami with the great history the Canes have had at that spot. I mean, Irvin was just announced a HOF finalist, Wayne is on the cover of Sports Illustrated this week after one of the best playoff performances in NFL history, Santana caught a 50 yard TD pass in the playoffs and had over 100 yards in the win vs San Diego, and Dre J was named to the Pro Bowl.

From what I hear, Anotone Smith and Kenny Phillips are the two best players we're going after and I'll be disappointed if they don't end up at the U.

Isn't Tennessee about to be exposed in some big SI or Miami Herald expose? At least that's the rumor.

The rumor will stay just that. This "story" has been out for about a week and nothing has developed since it first came out.

Anyone else going to be watching this game?

I'll be watching it, giving updates of how people look and waiting for players to committ to the school of their choosing, quite a few will be doing so, I suggest you watch it and have a nice chat with me in here as well

I want to see:

West 28 Jonathan Stewart, Jr. RB 5'10 220 Timberline High School Lacey WA

Local kid, shattered the state rushing records. So far he's visited Tennessee, USC, Washington State, and Oregon. Going to visit Washington as well, was going to visit Notre Dame but Willingham got the axe 2 days before his visit so now the Huskies have a shot. Smart money says he goes with one of the Northwest schools and his HS coach seems to think Oregon has the inside track. I'll probably Tivo the game.

I'll be watching, Denfan......

Nebraska has several players in the game and a few that are still considering Nebraska.

Those that have already commited to NU:

Marlon Lucky - 5 star RB

Jordan Congdon - #1 ranked kicker in the country

Phillip Dillard - 4 star LB

Leon Jackson - 4 star ATH (if he makes grades)

Rodney Picou - 4 star OL

Craig Roark - 3 star OL (one of the most underrated guys there, he is going to be something special)

Of the guys that are still considering the Huskers and have yet to commit - where I think they will end up:

Nyan Boateng - Florida

James McKinney - Michigan

Adam Myers-White- Tennessee

Raymond Henderson - Tennessee

Jerrelle Powe - JC

Reggie Smith - Nebraska

Ndamukong Suh - Nebraska

Should be fun to watch.......

He hasn't officially yet, but is very close. Last I heard he had also hired a tutor that should get him over the hump. Picou has also made some serious strides towards qualifying. Leon Jackson is very iffy right now, and Powe has almost no chance of qualifying for D1 and is Junior College bound. Again this is just what I am hearing, I'm not certain on any of them......

Henderson is quite the story, not sure if you've been following him too much but over the past coupl weeks, he's been giving out "riddles" of where he is going.

His last riddle had something to do with their logo reminding him of Purinas dog food logo, which doesnt help out much becasuse its a checkered red and white logo, could be red and white for Nebraska or could be checkered for Tennessee's checkered endzone.

Seems to be having some fun with the media and fans as they try to predict where he'll committ to.

Yeah, he also said something like "the head coach is being pursued by the NFL" which at the time would have pointed to LSU. His other one was about the team wearing black, which could have meant Iowa or the Nebraska Blackshirts. Odds are he ends up at Tennessee.

Boateng is another one that is having some fun witht the process. He gave Rivals a fully detailed interview about his trip to Miami....... thing is, he never made the trip and made the whole thing up. He could have another suprise up his sleeve......

Boateng is another one that is having some fun witht the process. He gave Rivals a fully detailed interview about his trip to Miami....... thing is, he never made the trip and made the whole thing up. He could have another suprise up his sleeve......
It's pretty interesting, just having some fun with the media. He also said something about "where they got beat by the north" which could be talking about the civil war, Tennessee being part of the rebels that got beat by the Union, never know.

Ok, for some reason NBC here is showing an infomercial. Chat room anyone? I really want to find out where DJ Hord goes. I expect Notre Dame..but I would be giddy if he chose Kansas State.
