I thought this would be a fun thread to pass time while we wait for the Bronco/Colts game!

I met my significant other in the Pyramid beer tent at the Sturgis motorcycle rally. The friend I was with knew her and we started talking (I don't really remember that part, but that's what she tells me).

Blind date, Oct. 1987. My friend was stalking her friend at Side Pocket Billiards in Arvada. They set up a double date and the rest is history.

Well, let's see here...
Oddly enough, this is good timing on this thread, as Robb (not *that* Robb - OrangeKnight) and I met at a new years party 3 years ago... I had gone to a party at my friend's house, where I was supposed to hook up with another friend who was visiting from Texas. We stayed at that party till about 12:30 or so, then decided to go meet up with a bunch of other people at a different party just down the street a little ways. We get to the other place & I was intro-ed to Robb via his ex-girlfriend, who had drove over with me...He & I talked a bit, mostly about Broncos and computers (which, at first he apologized for "boring me" with...and I just laughed at him & told him a thing or two...) and he stole my phone & failed to program his number in it - I had to program it for him. About a week later I called him and agreed to meet him for dinner & drinks at the Sink up in Boulder...Between periods of the avs game that was on TV (Avs vs Blackhawks - Avs won... ) we realized that neither of us was paying attention to the small talk we had been making, as we were both watching the game on tvs behind one another. The rest, as they say, is history! I had to call & cancel 3 other dates that weekend. heh. What can I say, I was single & had just gotten out of a bad relationship & it was the holidays?!?! |

I met my girlfriend during a lap dance. She says that I'm not that good of a lap dancer though. In any case that was one of the most memorable church services I've ever been to.

Bloody nose, he went into a men's room to get the paper towels for me. Very romantic. So of course, we had to stay in touch.

East Colfax street, when I lived in Denver. She banged on my car window, and said "looking for a good time." I asked her to marry me. I knew that i would always have a good time if she married me.

One of these days, I'll have a story about how I met my significant other, and I'll let you all know about it once it happens.

I found her in a catolog for adult novelties and toys.
I'll never forget the day the UPS guy dropped her off on my front porch. I took her out of the box and inflated her for the first time....pure magic! (Sorry - I don't give out details!) ![]() |

HS sweethearts here. I was dating one of her best friends and decided I liked her better. We were a couple on and off (mostly on) for 5 years and then we got hitched.

My hubby and I met cruising on Main street. He actually liked the friend that I was with. I impressed him with my beer drinking skills, I guess. People always laugh when I tell them that. Didn't take long though. And we just celebrated our ninth year of marriage on the 16th of December.

I met mine through an X actually. Lol. It was pretty interesting, but I also felt bad because it turns out that the X was trying to get back with me. :/

I met her in one of the cars on the Ferris Wheel at the Chicago World Fair in 1893. Back then, we didn't call it a Ferris Wheel. It was just Ferris's Wheel, because it was the first one invented.
We shared a new confection called "Crackerjacks." Then, she threw up all over me and it was love at first sight. |
