It appears Frank has done an about face and now is coming back. He could be a Heisman contender this year if he stays healthy and runs track in the spring to improve his speed.Man i love that kid, he is risking his future for the U. I also suspect that the NFL advisory committee's report wasnt what he had in mind. I truly hope he doesnt get hurt next year, he can be so special.
RB Gore at UM in '05
Atlanta, GA - Sports Radio560 WQAM has exclusive knowledge that University of Miami running back Frank Gore is staying for his senior season.
The Coral Gables High School product says his decision is based on several factors.
"I feel that I'll be better. I'll be down to my fair weight. And, you know, I want to win a national championship."
Gore also told WQAM he belives he'll be a first round draft pick in this year's NFL draft and that the 2005 Canes will do just fine.
"I feel that the team for next year, the whole O-Line will be healthy and me, I feel that we'll be alright."
Although positive about the 2005 season, Gore worries that a new quarterback could cause problems for the Hurricanes.
"The only problem we got to worry about is how the quarterback is going to be."
Miami will have numerous returnees in 2005 on offense and defense. UM finished the 2004 campaign with a 9-3 record, a Peach Bowl victory and have won the last three "state championships" against Florida and Florida State giving UM bragging rights for years to come.
