Hey Spider - why didn't you come down here to Colorado and fill your freezer with a nice elk. The population has exploded over the last ten years to the point where over 100,000 could die of starvation if we have a bad winter.

A few years ago, I did a project for a mining company just out of Gardiner, Mt on the north side of Yellowstone during hunting season. Every morning there were hunters lined up along the road to the mine waiting for the elk to wander out of the Park. It's not quite that easy here, but in some areas they are thick. Saw a herd of 200-300 about 200 yards off the highway last week.

Hmmm very not bad ..........
I took my wife Elk hunting once , I left her on top of this ridge , I said Honey I will go down and scare some elk out of the trees down there you shoot them when they come out ......
She said ok , as I stared down the side of the hill , I heard a shot , I ran up the hill as fast as I could , and then I saw her arguing with this cowboy ...
Finaly the Cowboy said, fine it is your Elk , But can I unsaddle the damn thing before you take it off ?
Ok done telling jokes ......... Good news about the Elk population in Colo .....
One of the reasons I left Colo was the over crowding , alot of prime hunting land getting developed .........
20 Short years ago , the Pueder Canyon was excellent hunting .........
Up around Redfeathers Lakes was awesome , hell a Guy could still hunt beaver there , not anynore ...............
