Interesting to think what K-mart, anthony and kidd could do. I could live without Miller and to be honest I'm not sold on Earl either. I just can't see him being the guy that is going to distribute the ball all the way to ring.

That has been discussed on the Nuggets board along with some other trade rumors.
I am normally a huge Andre Miller guy, but for some reason he hasn't been running the floor this season at all, which is the only way this team can win. Jason Kidd would do just that. However, coming off a surgery, and not getting any younger, I don't see the nuggets sending both andre and nene over for Kidd. Andre had an all star year last year, and nene has been playing good for only being in the league 2 years. And Earl Boykins is the man. People used to like him because he's so small and he was a novelty of sorts, but he's been hitting big shots this season. |

I don't really like this trade. As you said Rhymesayers, J-Kidd is getting older and is just coming off of knee surgery. His ability to run is definately going to be hindered, especially this year. I think Andre Miller has been playing great. I see him running all of the time; however, nobody else is running with him. Same thing happens with Boykins, too. Andre Miller is a much better rebounder, and I think he plays just as well, if not better, on defense than Kidd would. The only problem with Andre Miller is his inability to shoot the three. If he could shoot the three, he would probably be the best point guard in the association. The fact that Nene would be in this deal makes this trade even worse for me.
If we were to trade for someone, I would trade for an awesome shooting guard like Michael Redd or Ray Allen. |

I'll take Kidd in a heartbeat if his knee is healthy. He's much better suited to the type of game the Nuggets want to play, the up & down running style, than Dre is. Dre seems to me like he's more fitted for the slower Eastern Conference game.
But I wouldn't give up Nene to get him and I doubt that the Nuggets would either. I would offer them a package of Miller, Vo Lenard (his contract can be bought out at seasons end, clearing up cap space) and Skita (another salary dump seeing as his option has already been declined). I think that's plenty fair for an aging point guard with a history of health problems who doesn't want to be there anyway. I don't see San Antonio making a move for him. They've already got Tony Parker running their point and I don't see them dumping anyone big from their roster to make the salaries work for a deal. Minnesota is another story. They could likely dangle Sprewell and his expiring contract in front of the Nets, which could be more attractive for NJ seeing as they're in a rebuilding phase. We'll see. I certainly hope Kiki takes his shot at Kidd, I just don't know if he's got the ammo to pull off the deal. |

Great Post Clockwork.
I agree San Antonio probably won't do it. They don't even need to, really. They're the best team in the league. Minnesota, however... wow. Sam Cassell and Jason Kidd would be quite a duo. I hope that doesn't have it. Now, as for the Nugs, I love that trade proposal. Andre/Vo/Skita I'd pull that trigger in a heartbeat. |

I have no faith in Andre.... NONE... I watched him at Utah in college, and in cleveland,denver.... He has his moments, but when its clutch time, when the chips are on the table... He just doesnt get it done... He chokes.... Earl Boykins is the MVP of the Denver nuggets this season, like it or not.... I have been an usher at the pepsi center for 3 years.... and have seen 88 home games over that span.... From what i have seen, Miller is a great player, But not a clutch player...... |

Anyone who brings in a selfish coach-killing piece of trash like Jason Kidd deserves all the heartache that comes with him.

That's cool, I'd much rather have Miller in the eastern conference than Jason Kidd, one less thing the Cavs have to worry about.

This guy has had at least three coaches run off: Lou Campanelli at Cal, Dick Motta in Dallas and Byron Scott in New Jersey. Not sure if he had anything to do with Danny Ainge's ouster in Phoenix, but I can't really blame him if he did.
He has a lifetime shooting percentage of .403 and he's the wrong side of 30. What's the attraction? ![]() He even looks like he's scheming on somebody in his website banner. Watch your back, Bzdelik. |

I'll take Kidd because he'll play the type of game that Kiki & his "consultant" Doug Moe have been trying to install since they arrived, the running, up tempo game. Miller is somehow incapable of playing this style consistantly and it appears to me for no other reason than sheer laziness. While there are valid criticisms of Kidd to be made, laziness isn't one of them. He walks the ball up the court even when Bzdelik is screaming at him to push it, he sucks at making entry passes to the low post (you can actually see 'Melo get frustrated when he battles for post position only to see Miller wait too long to make the pass and the defender ends up fronting him, Miller then passes it somewhere else on the perimeter) and he can't hit anything outside of 15 feet (he still shoots a f'n set shot, I thought that went out with bell bottoms). Hell, I'd be in favor of offering up Miller for some 2 guard help and promoting Boykins to starting at the 1. Of course this situation could be viable had the Nuggets held on to Jameer Nelson when they picked him (I'm still not thrilled about that move), but what's done is done. If Kidd isn't healthy then all of this is null and void. But I'll take my chances with him over what looks to be an uninspired player like Miller. |

I like that it's a conversation but I don't like the deal.
