Default Post Your All-American Team

My All-American Team

OFFENSE

QB: Alex Smith, Utah
I have the utmost respect for Rodgers, Leinart, LeFors, White, Campbell etc., I just feel Smith has played the best QB in the country. Rodgers is my #2 choice.

RB: J.J. Arrington, Cal

RB: Cedric Benson, Texas
Both backs just edged Jamario Thomas of North Texas.

FB: Kyle Eckel, Navy
Watch this future Ensign run over the Cadets in the Army-Navy game.

WR: Braylon Edwards, Michigan
He made the right decision to stay another year versus entering one of the deepest WR drafts ever.

WR: Dante Ridgeway, Ball State
Apologies to Taylor Stubblefield

TE: Heath Miller, Virginia
All-around tight end blocks with a mean streak.

OT: Jamaal Brown, Oklahoma
In my opinion, the best offensive player on Oklahoma.

OT: Alex Barron, Florida State

OG: Elton Brown, Virgina

OG: David Baas, Michigan (has played his share of center this season)

C: Greg Eslinger, Minnesota
Reminds me a lot of Ben Hamilton.

All Purpose: Reggie Bush, USC and Ted Gunn Jr., Ohio State
Had to get them both on my team!

DEFENSE

DE: Erasmus James, Wisconsin
Can't believe he's not even on NCAA Football 2005!

DE: Marcus Spears, LSU
A complete DE.

There's so many good DEs in college football this year that it hurts to leave Dan Cody, Matt Roth, Justin Tuck, Mathias Kiwanukua, Shaun Cody, Jonathan Goddard, David Pollack off.

DT: Mike Patterson, USC

DT: Rodrique Wright, Texas
I also am a big fan of Kyle Williams of LSU, but didn't want two undersized DTs in the middle.

OLB: Derrick Johnson, Texas
WOW! He reminds me a lot of our very own D.J. Like Braylon, he benefited the most from staying one season.

MLB: Ahmad Brooks, Virgina

OLB: Chad Greenway, Iowa

CB: Antrel Rolle, Miami

CB: Adam "PACMAN" Jones, West Virginia

FS: Jim Leonhard, Wisconsin
Doesn't have much of a shot in the pros, but one of those guys that excels on the collegiate level despite lack of physical ability.

SS: Junior Rosegreen, Auburn

Return Specialist: Justin Miller, Clemson

Soccer players (Kickers/Punters) don't get recognition on my team!!!

Yes...whoever ends up with this guy will be very happy. This shows that Greg Robinson isn't so bad if he has TALENT to work with...

Yeah, Cheaps, I'm talking to YOU!

Yes!

When the Chiefs got off to a 9-0 start last season, nobody was complaining about Greg Robinson.

Seriously, if you look at their track records, Robinson has a strong case in being a better defensive coordinator than Gunther.

Most people forget how much the Denver D turned around in 1996 after it was one of the worst in the NFL under Charlie Waters.

Denver's defense was ranked #1 in 1996 and 1997 in the AFC in average yards allowed/game. The D was the unsung hero of the 1998 playoff run and was ranked in the top ten in the 6-10 1999 season. Don't get me wrong Robinson is not Bill Arnsparger, but he's a lot better than people give him credit for.
