Default Hotrod needs your help!!!!!!!!!!

This weekend I was installing a new storm door. Everything was going just fine until I realized that I needed to put in a spacer to push the hinge side over to make the door fit correct. I begain to unscrew the door from the frame and realized that one of the screws "head" had become destroyed by the drill. My question is how the **** do you get that screw out. I tryed everything I could think of but even with all my cursing, tool throwing and beed consumption the screw refused to budge . Someone must know how I can get that ****ing screw out of my ****ing door frame.

Old tool that Mechanics use , called an easy out , requires a drill ........ Ace Hardware will know what it is ............

You'll need to head to the local hardware store. Bring a similar screw with you. Then you'll need to drill center of the "broken" screw with a bit slightly smaller than the threads of the screw. Then use an "easy out" to back out the remainder of the screw. The folks at the hardware store, or auto parts store should be able to steer you in the right direction.

If that doesn't work try drilling it out.

rofl you should have seen it. Hammers flying..... screwdrivers getting kicked clear across the yard. Beer cans being smashed. Wife looking at me like I was crazy rofl
Dogs barking it was a scene straight of out a COPS episode.

The upside was I could hear my wife watching the chefs lose in the living room that helped keep things in perspective.

Screw extractor? Not sure what that is but I know an acetylene torch will burn it right out of there. If you're afraid to play with fire then just drill it out, just like you're drilling a new hole but drill the screw out instead.

Its some gizzmo the guys at ACE sold me. You drill alittle hole in the screw then twist this little "screw extractor" in the hole you drilled and it twisted the screw out. They said it was easy they probebly lied.

An Easy Out. It'll work if the screw is big enough to drill a hole into and the screw doesn't turn while you're drilling it.

If it doesn't work, try one of these.

If this does not work the next step is to call a good realitor and buy a new house with a storm door already installed.
