Default Hindsight is 20/20: steals and busts in the fantasy draft

Just my personal opinion (after 10 weeks) of the OML draft:

009: D. Culpepper - steal for EHB
012: S. Davis - injury bust for Blue
013: M. Hasselback - minor bust for Blue
019: D. McNabb - steal for MT
024: T. Henry - bust for DenFan
025: T. Owens - steal for Denfan
031: Q Griffin - bust for Sassy
032: K. Jones - bust for Reb
034: K. Robinson - minor bust fror Heav
037: T. Barber - huge steal for Blue
044: S. Moss - bust for Pezman
045: S. Smith - injury bust for Alec
046: M. Bennett - bust for Evenrude
047: D. Staley - steal for Shack
048: P. Warrick - injury bust for Denfan
052: T. Heap - injury bust for Alec
053: C. Garner - injury bust for Pezman
054: A Crumpler - steal for MT
055: B. Williams - bust for Sassy
057: C. Martin - big steal for EHB
059: J. Porter - bust for OD
067: P. Price - bust for MT
071: K. Winslow - injury bust for Shack
074: J. Plummer - steal for Shack
075: C. Rogers - injury bust for Evenrude

(after 75, steals only) ...

078: M. Bulger - steal for MT
086: T. Jones - minor steal for OD
094: I. Bruce - steal for Evenrude
126: A. Vinatieri - high for a K, but still a minor steal for MT
155: D. Brees - steal for OD
156: E. Smith - steal for Blue
174: A. Gates - big steal for MT
188: D. Bennett - steal for Pez
193: J. Bettis - steal for Denfan
196: R. Droughns - steal for Alec
202: O. Smith - steal for Heav

fuinny thing is that, after 10 weeks, very few of the "steals" are still with the teams that drafted them.

I think we are impatient, I know I was, if I would've sat tight w/o trades and just a few minor pickups I'd have a rival squad to Evil Head...but alas, I'm too short sighted I guess.

good post!

I'd have to say, the only ones that I would change would be Tiki... right now he is the #3 player in our FFL and for Blue to get him at that 37 spot... That is the steal of the draft.

In my mind, the biggest bust also came from Blue in Hasslebeck in that #13 spot in the draft. He is not even close to being a fourth rounder at this point.

Very true... however... with Pennington also on my roster, Hasselbeck was merely "insurance" and only started for the Behemoths in Pennington's bye week.

From a draft day perspective, I did expect bigger and better numbers from Hass, though.

Note that I stopped the bust list at 75, just so I could avoid admitting that I took Ron Dayne at #83.

Honestly, if it weren't for Steven Davis, you very well could have dominated all year. I fear playing you in week 13 btw...

Davis' injury was probably the biggest disappointment of the season for the Behemoths... but then Emmitt has kinda made up some of the points. I'd thought of him as a bye week replacement back, but he's been a pleasant surprise.

Even if Davis had remained healthy, I'm not sure my team would have challenged the evil ones, though. Sideburn has assembled a very formidable, tough team.

No doubt... and of course that's the week Donovan had an incredible game so the trade could come back to bite you in the butt...

Sorry, Pez!
