My vote still goes to RANDY "Don't bother arguing with me" Cross...has there ever been a more self important shlubb?
Honorary mention goes to "Tank" Sean Salisbury, who must have fractured ankles from jumping on and off so many bandwagons. The 'screaming meemie' intellectual award goes to Steve "Let's talk about quarterbacks!" Young. ![]() And don't forget our classic blowhard of them all, John "I tell ya...BOOMPF!" Madden. I expect him to do an interview in a pig pen next week, so we can hear about "stuff fallin' off, blood and sweaty asses." Now THAT'S entertainment! ![]() |

Cross is annoying and arrogant i agree.
You are right about Salisbury's ankles fracturing but that also is due to his weight being too much for them to bear. I personally think the Sunday Night Crew is about as bad as it gets. From Joe Theezman being the biggest prick in the booth to MacGuire acting like a fat baffoon to Mike Patrick calling Kenoy Kennedy "Keion Carpenter" they're a dud, big time. Madden isnt eve relevant anymore. There is a reason ABC is paying Al Michaels well, it isnt for his insight or play by play abilities, it has more to do with compensation for putting up with Madden for 3 hours and trying to cover up his senile ****ups every couple minutes.

Locally, the biggest blowhard is Joe Williams, partner of Irv Brown afternoons on 950 The Fan. Joe is pretty knowledgable, but his schtick of always finding something bad to say about the local teams has grown tiresome. It's pretty much a routine. Good cop, bad cop, with Joe cast as the turd in the punchbowl.
But he's got a very close 2nd. Lou from Littleton, partner of Mark Moser mornings on the same station. Lou is the consumate homer. Never, ever has a critical word for any of the local teams. It's nauseating to listen to him fawn over the most pedestrian of things while sugarcoating any and everything that goes wrong. Even though Joe is negative and the bigger blowhard, I'd rather listen to him over Lou. Joe irritates me, Lou makes me want to shove ice picks through my ears. |

I almost forgot about Mike Patrick of the ESPN evening crew...he SCREECHES nonstop throughout the entire telecast. It's! Like! Someone! Talking! In! Exclamation! Points! For! Every! D@mn! Thing!!!!! Jeez, you don't even know when there's a great play...he emphasizes EVERYTHING.

Joe Williams is as annoying as hell. I like how when any fan calls in with an opinion he always says that, he bases his opinions off of what he sees. But if they get anyone from the nat'l media to go on that show, that person's word is gospel no matter how bad that nat'l guy sucks (Dr. Z and Pete Prisco come to mind).

I can't stand Randy Cross....especially when he's in the booth during a Broncos game...he hates the Broncos.
As for McGuire, I like his commentary and game calling......he's from my general area and he's very personable and generous if you ever get the chance to meet him. Not only that, but he's extremely hilarious, even moreso in person. Joey T. I don't even bother to take seriously (although I love it when McGuire goes "Mock" on him) and Patrick never really bothered me....matter of fact, when Summerall took over for him there for a bit, I grew to really appreciate Patrick....afterall, Summerall can put any human being to sleep within 10 seconds. How can anyone forget the extremely irritating Dan Deirdorff? or the "more self-rightous than you'll ever be" Chris Collinsworth? Man, they are very close seconds to Cross in guys I'd like to punch in the face. |

I'd say Terry Bradshaw, but he doesn't call games (THANK GOD!!!), so my vote would go to Randy Cross and John Madden.

Cross is annoying but Paul McGuire isn't far behind.
McGuire will say around 20-50 times per game "I'm going to tell you something" or "Let me tell you something". He starts off nearly every comment he makes with one of those two statements. That wears me out....Then throw in the stupidest comment that he make several times a year "Let me tell you something....The one thing I really like about this running back(insert name here), his feet never stop moving when he is carrying the ball..." Paul, please show me one single clip of any running back in history that has the ball in their hands and both feet firmly planted on the ground without movement. |

Personally, I enjoy a drunken McGuire beating down Joe on a consistent basis. It mirrors me and LABS in the war room.
Steven A. Smith always looks like he's going to pull out a knife. I'm not going to argue with him, he's too scary. Tom Jackson has developed into a fine announcer. If you saw his debut, he was pathetic, but the Boomer really took him in. TJ is great. That Michael Irvin prick is just a loud mouthed moron. Salsbury steak is so retarded he doesn't know he's retarded. Bradshaw knows he's retarded and uses it to his advantage. I can tolerate him. He's rather amusing. I've always liked Dick Enberg and his "Oh MY!" Good memories with that old guy. Hopefully, he doesn't retire soon. I have given up hating Madden. I have placed him in the Harry Carry/Grampa Simpson section. Hopefully Deion never makes it back to the booth. Howie rules. Haven't seen much of Sharpe. I don't get his gig, but I hear he's struggling some. He will improve. He's a true rookie. The next time I watch "Dream Job" is when they actually have the winner on TV. Ditka is improving. He gives a decent coaches perspective. His comments on Wanny and Parcells were priceless last week. And how out of reality is Parcells? Vinnie, Eddie and MeShawn and he wonders why he's 3-5? The best team in Texas are the Texans. |

The original winner is actually on ESPNEWS nearly every night...He isn't bad but he stands out as if he is trying way too hard. And doesn't have a great TV voice. |

I'm gonna apologize in advance to everyone but those from North Dakota...cuz your not gonna have a clue. But the worst in history is EDDIE SCHULTZ. Tops any crappy NFL announcer, tops any crappy announcer of any sorts.
