I am sure this will do little to change people's mind that we have some justification for being there. To me it just shows that there is still lots of places in Iraq where WMD's can be.

Lookee here, we found some "test kits" for sarin gas. I hope someone does'nt accidentally drops one. We may have to call for a clean-up on isle 11.
Nice headline, but they seem to have omitted a few key words, such as "TEST KITS". In addition I wonder why they wuld be labeled in ENGLISH

BE VERY AFRAID, and be sure to run to the local hardware store for your own roll of Duct Tape!

Bush gave up too quickly in the PR battle on WMDs, IMO. That was the one issue that gave the Democrats fodder. Fortunately, it wasn't enough to unseat him. Evidence of WMDs WILL show up, and this could be the beginning.

The U.S. government (Bush administration) says no WMD and hasn't been any for at least 15 years. Why don't you believe them?

they may have knowledge of areas where they are...if not still in iraq, smuggled to iran, syria, who knows, even our mideast 'friends' like pakistan and saudi. but for intel or PR reasons it may not be smart to tell this to the general public, especially if we don't know the specific locations where they are stored at.

i am not maintaining this as fact - but i think it would be folly to rule it out.

Democrats and Republicans alike have said Saddam was a threat, and that implies that he had WMDs or had the capability to make WMDs.

Perhaps they did but I just don't see Saddam giving anyone control of his weapons. He's not one to trust others.

i wouldn't totally rule out that when his downfall seemed imminent, that he might facilitate the movement of his weapons elsewhere, away from the americans, and where someone might hopefully use them in the future against his attackers.

either that, or they could have simply been smuggled, without his consent, anytime after he fell from power. but i'd have to say that the logistics of transporting the weapons would cause it to be very difficult.

During the airwar phase of the first Gulf War, Iraq's airforce was sent to Iran despite the fact that the Iraqi's had just ended a long and brutal war with the Iranians. Whether they went on orders from Saddam or as a result of decisions at a lower level in the chain of command, I'm not certain. But either way, the same thing might have happened in this case.
