I've heard Duffy's is good. But I think it's not really a family place but I could be wrong. Outback I have never had a problem with. Chilis has good baby pork ribs.
Duffy's would be around the 16th mall which is worth seeing and it's close to the stadium. |

OF1 was at Elway's Steakhouse last week. The food and service was GREAT. Show up in your Broncos gear and you'll be treated like royalty.

MY RANKING:
Sullivans Chop House - followed by drinks at Sing Sing Mortons Downtown Brooks Del Frisco Mortons Tech Center Ruth Chris - Food is good, but I don't like the atmosphere All of those are on the pricey side. For $20 you can't beat Outback and the beer is reasonable |

What's the name of the place that serves buffalo, elk, venison, etc.? I've been there a couple of times, and it is really good.

Must definatly agree with whomever was typing for OF1 yesterday (at 4 you can bet it wasn't me!) They have steak & seafood...They also have cheeseburgers on the menu as well, for those who want the cheaper and/or smaller meal, or less "exotic".
The food & service were infact excellent -- they have several servers helping your every need. If you have a larger group, phone ahead! ![]() |

You guys are probably thinking of the Buckhorn Exchange. Have not been there in years.

Thats the place I have not been there in years. Dont remember it being bad but I would think there is a reason we stopped going. Not really a steak place but when I live there "gasho's" (sp) was my favorite place on the planet. I mean anyplace that starts the cooking process with a huge bowl of butter is ok with me. ![]() |

The Buckhorn Exchange is in a REALLY bad part of downtown.. It's almost comical how that restuarant sits in the middle of the area (historic location..). That's why a lot of people have stopped going there

Speaking of steak places I remember this little box car kind of place that used to have a fair steak & egg thing for like 3 bucks or something. What was the name of that place
It was great always crowded and you could feel your heart cloging just as you walked in the door. |

Oh yeh...there is another really good steakhouse, but it's a bit pricey...
It's called Rodizios and it's a brazillian all-you-can-eat meat house... They bring around all their meaty goodness on "swords" (spits, fresh off the grill) and tell you what it is & ask if you want something. They only have them here & in Utah, I think. It's about 25 a plate, plus drinks. You also get unlimited trips to the salad bar too - which isn't really a "salad bar" persay because there is more meat there. This is *not* a place to take a vegetarian. Last time I was there there was a group that had a vegetarian amongst them...They came up with some fish & some salad of some sort - but...not really the place for one. It's located off of 18th & Wazee, I think - right near the Tattered Cover downtown. Near Union station. They also have a dessert to die for - it's a multi-layered chocolate cake thing. (I can't try their other desserts due to allergies) but it's delisch! That's one of the places OK & I agree on for special occasions - birthdays, pay raises, etc. ![]() |

Thanks for the info Blue!
I've been to Samba at the Mirage, very similar sounding. Checked them out on citysearch.com seems like some pretty good reviews. Money really isn't an object (did I just say that?) I haven't been back in a while and I really want to show my peeps a great time. On a slightly different note, I did see the Trail Dust is still in business, I LOVED that place as a kid with all the neckties on the wall. I had my 13th birthday party there. I may have to sneak off and have lunch there one day for old times sake. I do see a 50 oz. steak on the menu, Mmmmmm. This is a pretty short visit around Xmas so there probably won't be enough time to eat at all my "old school" favorites. Jim's Burger Haven, Amici's and the Taco House might all have to wait for my next visit. Why are the Broncos on the road that week?!?!? I wanted to see OF1 and meet some of you folks. Grinchy schedule makers! Thanks to everyone for the great advice so far, keep it coming! Ron |

Chop house is one of our favorites, Had dinner there on Friday and it was excellent. I was part of the group at Elways on October 30th and it was also good, but I give the nod to the chop house for pure food rating. Now on the other hand, How many other places can you jack an Elway menu for your Bronco collection? You can not go wrong at either place but reservations are a must! Brooks is on the list to do over Raider week at the end of the month.
PS: Ruth Chris is over rated and over priced in my humble opinion. |

I can't believe the TrailDust is still there. My ex-wife worked there. It's horsemeat. It's like homer simpson designed it.
They had a good Japanese steak grill there. They would do the whole fancy thing on the giant skillet. Like when Homer ate the puffer fish. I have no clue what is at the DTC, but it isn't the Trail Dust as much as it is Cartman at CasaBonita and the food was just as bad. Good Grief. Last edited by watermock; 11-08-2004 at 11:37 PM.. |

Went there once this summer, that place is great. I think it's also about $10 less if you go for lunch, and you get the same thing. There's also one out in Colorado Mills. Last edited by Hercules Rockefeller; 11-09-2004 at 04:39 AM.. |
