I'm not a SOX fan.

Before the Rockies came to be i liked the Mets for all the wrong reasons. I liked Daryl Strawberry and Doc Gooden.

I watched Game 6 of the 86 series as a 7 yr old and was so happy.

At that age i didn't know what i had really just witnessed, the bitter continuing of a curse.

That said. I could care less about the Mets now .... Way to Go Red Sox.

They've given any team down 3-0 in a series or 28-0 in a game a reason to not give up.

I worked and taped the game tonight.

Its gettting marked and saved for a long time ...

Go Sox and Go Cards.

shoot if i were a Chiefs fan i'd be pumped and looking at the season anew right now.

we're luckier in Denver than most sports fans. Elway conditioned us to truly believe the old "It aint over till the fat lady sings" sentiment.

There are some good times being had in Boston right now.

Remember how great it was when the Nugs came back down from 2-0 to beat the Sonics in 5 10 years ago ... for Sox fans this is like that but 100 times better.

As a lifelong (44yrs) Sox fan, this feels very good! I hope those boys realize where they are and stay focused. Regardless of who joins the series from the Nat league this should be a hard fought series.

Congrats to all the BoSox boosters out there! Congrats to the Yankees on a great and hard fought series!

Yeah... we are really entering BoSox territory now! Does anyone have an eye on Buckner?

As I was prior to Denver beating GB in the SB, I am quietly optimistic about the Sox chances to prevail in the series. Hopefully, they have shot their emotional load.

Thats the thing, whether its Houston or St Louis ... thats gonna be a tough series.

Even if the Sox get swept in the series though, im sure this year will be sweeter than most just to have won bragging rights over the Yankees ... and to have ruined everyone who has direct contact with Steinbrenner lives.

Johnny Damon and David Ortiz just guaranteed lifetime king treatment in Boston (as long as neither of them pull a Buckner in the next series or ever play for the Yankees).

Maybe Damon can get that free haircut he's been angling for now .....

Ortiz is just sooooo clutch.

The best thing to me is this .... Do you know how f'in sick i am of every sports analyst calling a series over at 3 games to none just cause "noone has ever done it before". Other than the Sox, only 2 ancient hockey teams had done it in the big 3 sports (that have best of seven's).

I also predict that lightning strikes twice, probably in the NBA.

It's just like how the Nuggets ended the "No 8 seed has ever beaten a 1 seed" cliche that announcers would rely on as scripture.

Then a few years the later the Miami Heat did it too.

I'll tell you who else is nails... Derek Lowe! He was nails in last years series with the Yanks, too. I can't believe that they pulled him given the sizable lead and let Pedro come in to wake up the NY crowd.

Lowe too, if he has a good series he'll probably have a High School named after him in Boston.

I liked what i saw from him (on work breaks .. im about to watch the whole game now), and even though it might not have been the soundest strategy im glad Pedro pitched.

Im looking forward to watching that.

Also i heard he was pouring champagne on his own head after the game.

Classic.

No more of Jeter the 'camera whore' until next year! I thought he was such a 'winner'? 'WHINER' is more like it!

And since a picture is worth a thousand words ....or about $42 million a year in this case.........

Let me now present "Jeter and the Cheater":
