Hey All-
I wanted your takes on a trade I have been offered (in a Non-OM league). I have been offered a 9 player deal, sending me M. Faulk, Joe Horn, S. McNair, and the Ravens D for Portis, Emmitt, K. Colbert, Garcia, and the Jets D. He has made this offer because McNair is his only QB (playing like crap) and Q is his #2 RB (which essentially means he has no #2 RB). I'm leaning toward accepting because I have Leftwich as my starter (and he's been on a tear) so McNair would be my backup. Moreover, I'm still not sold on Portis behind that Skins line. At the other RB spot I have Droughns and at WR I start Colbert (lousy Steve Smith injury!) and Holt. So I get big upgrades at #2 WR and Def but have slight downgrades at #1RB and backup QB. Any advice? |

Be cautious with M Faulk. Steven Jackson is getting more and more carries and the changing of guard is very distinct. Unless you have Jackson I would stay away from this trade simply because of that.
Portis has struggled but he is still a top RB. Emmit is a good #3 RB which are hard to find. I wouldn't do that trade. I would rather have three healthy starting RB's (assuming you can start three RB's...even if you can't I would still keep them) and have a week #2 WR, then have 1 healthy RB, 1 RB who is fixing to be replaced by Jackson, and two top WR's. But that's just my opinion. |

Thanks rascal. Thank God I took your advice because I just got a different owner to agree to this:
I send him: Emmitt Smith, Mike Bennett, K. Colbert, Steve Smith (just in case), Byron Leftwich, and the Jets Def. (he needed 2 rbs badly) He sends me: Payton Manning, Keyshawn Johnson, Bettis, and the Pats Def. I'm pretty happy with that one. |
