Default Bush Haters Resort to Drive By Shooting

It's getting to be sick

An unknown suspect fired several shots into the Bearden office of the Bush/Cheney re-election campaign Tuesday morning.

The headquarters are located at 4618 Kingston Pike, next to Noveau Classics and in the same shopping plaza as Long's Drugstore.

According to Knoxville Police Department (KPD) officers on the scene Tuesday, it is believed that the two separate shots were fired from a car sometime between 6:30 am and 7:15 am.

One shot shattered the glass in the front door and the other cracked the glass in another of the front doors.

There were no witnesses to the shooting. A customer at a nearby dry cleaning store noticed shattered glass on the sidewalk in front of the headquarters and called police.

Volunteers and staffers at the campaign office say they have no clues as to who might have committed the crime. However, they add that the shooting makes them even more enthusiastic and energized about working for their candidates.

"If I have to sleep here (at the campaign office) now, that's what I'll do," says volunteer Suzanne Dewar.

In an unexpected twist, a bank directly across the street from the headquarters was robbed just as KPD officers were busy investigating at the scene of the shooting.

Tune in to 10 News at 6:00 pm, as well as Live at Five for more on this developing story.

Can you believe the hatred? This isn't healthy.

I think it was prolly just some rednecks coming home drunk, cause LIEbrals don't tend to own assault weapons and most Naderites are still asleep that early in the AM.

Nice to see you all have your double standards. If Republicans did this there'd be ten threads about how vile the Republicans are. Since it's anti-bush goons, its okay though.

This isn't isolated either.

Protestors Ransack Bush/Cheney Headquarters In Orlando
2 People Receive Minor Injuries During Protest

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A group of protestors stormed and then ransacked a Bush-Cheney headquarters building in Orlando, Fla., Tuesday, according to Local 6 News.

Local 6 News reported that several people from the group of 100 Orlando protestors face possible assault charges after the group forced their way inside the Republican headquarters office.

While in the building, some of the protestors drew horns and a mustache on a poster of President George W. Bush and poured piles of letters in the office, according to the report.

"We told them to leave, they broke the law," Republican headquarters volunteer Mike Broom said.

Two protestors received minor injuries when the crowd stormed the building, including a Republican volunteer.

One of the protestors said she wanted to send a message.

"We want to send a clear message to Bush, we want him to take his hands off our overtime pay," protestor Esmeralda Heuilar said.

Local 6 News learned that most of the protestors were from the AFL-CIO and were taking part in one of 20 other coordinated protests around the country.

A spokesperson with the AFL-CIO told Local 6 News that the Orlando protest did not go as planned.

A protest similar to Orlando's demonstration was held at a Bush-Cheney office in Miami at the same approximate time, Local 6 News reported.

This hatred is dangerous.

Is it any surprise that even though the perp hasn't been IDd or caught, Kaylore automatically assumes he's a liberal?

Yeah, well, somebody is out to get Siegfried and Roy, too.

Siegfried & Roy Under Fire

by Sarah Hall
Oct 5, 2004, 1:50 PM PT

Apparently, someone has declared open season on Siegfried and Roy's Vegas abode.

An unknown gunman opened fire on the retired illusionist duo's home two weeks ago in a drive-by shooting that police initially labeled as a hate crime.

Authorities have since dropped that classification, police said Monday. No one was hurt in the shooting.

At least two workers on the property, known as Jungle Palace, observed the Sept. 21 incident and reported that a man fired an estimated four shots from a white van while shouting, "We need to get…Siegfried and Roy out of our country!"

Officer Jose Montoya told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the incident was originally classified as a hate crime because it was believed to be motivated by origin of nationality. Siegfried Fischbacher and Roy Horn are both from Germany, but have lived in Vegas for about 35 years.

However, upon further review, police decided the attack didn't warrant the hate crime label, though they did not elaborate as to why not.

It was unclear whether either Siegfried or Roy was home at the time of the shooting. Shotgun pellets shattered two windows and left a 12-inch hole in the home's structure.

Police have identified the registered owner of the van used in the incident, but have been unable to locate him, Montoya told the Review-Journal.

Montecore, the Roy-mauling white tiger, was not considered a suspect in the incident.

Siegfried and Roy held court at the Mirage Casino and Hotel Sunday night in celebration of Roy's 60th birthday. More than 800 of the duo's nearest and dearest turned out to celebrate the occasion, including Mary Tyler Moore, Tippi Hedren and Robert Goulet.

Sunday also marked the one-year anniversary of the gory attack at the jaws of Montecore that nearly ended Roy's life and did bring an end to the long-running Siegfried & Roy Vegas extravaganza.

Roy spoke about his difficult year of rehab and recovery in an NBC interview with Maria Shriver last month.

The big cat enthusiast still uses a motorized wheelchair to get around and his speech has been affected. His pain remains severe.

"Every inch of your skin hurts...I cry to sleep," Roy told Shriver.

However, he maintains that Montecore was simply trying to protect him after he fainted onstage and that he has "no regrets" about the incident.
Not a single word from Kaylore condemning these unprovoked attacks. Maybe he secretly enjoys the idea of blowdried German homosexuals under attack.

I pity us as a nation.......
