Sad Sad peformance... Johnson man handled him for the majority of the fight and then just put a end to it with a crushing blow that left Jones motionless on the floor.... The end of another boxing era has come, Roy is finished.

Ouch! It was a great run, Roy, but it's obviously time to hang 'em up and let your cocks do the fighting
. The Tarver fights and now this have put a serious dent into the legend of RJJ. He looked dead out there on the canvas and that might be the lasting image of his career, as well as the South Korean boxer winning the fraud gold in Seoul. ![]() |

That's the world of sports, especially in boxing.
I have as much trust in Las Vegas boxing as the future Iraqi Defense Minister. |

Well, if its any consolation to Roy, now he can retire and torture innocent animals to his heart's content. This clown should thank the Lord every night that his cautious career was made possible by the era in which he fought. Hearns, Leonard, Benitez, Duran, Hagler or Spinks would have destroyed him in head to head matchups.

please... Look at Roys opponets he has faced if there were not former champs or high ranking contenders they are current champs or high ranking contenders.....*cough* Benard, Toney? Just to name 2... Both he outclassed and both are on top of the wieght classes right now...Saying Roy could not beat Duran(no mas), Hearns, Benitez (who??) Spinks, Leonard(lol) is crazy.. I wont mention Hagler cause he was a beast and quite frankly I dont know about that one.Roy has just lost it he is not the same fighter he used to be, happens to almost all the greats that dont get out soon enough. People hated on another great too when he began to look bad (ALI) so I expect this much from people like you. |

Man, I just watched the fight on HBO and Jones got lit up. I can't remember seeing someone get floored that hardcore before. He was out before he hit the mat...And his eyes rolled back in his head when his head bounced off the mat. I was waiting for the crowd to start chanting Drago! Drago! Drago! Memphis needs to change the town saying to "Memphis, where great boxers come to die"

Jones beat Hopkins in 93 and Toney in 94. The only name fighter on his record after that was Mike McCallum in 96 and the BodySnatcher was 40 years old when he fought him. Jones studiously ducked Darius Michalczewski throughout his career. Anyway, let HBO tell you what's up. You'll be much happier - and much more ignorant - that way. Let me guess, in your opinion Mike Tyson is the second best heavyweight champion in history behind Ali, right? rofl |
