I realy dont know to trust the Brits or the Italians , if they think the French gave us those documents are not , and frankly I dont care , what I do care about is Powell trying to use them in the U.N. Unless of course you want to tell me the UN is more competent then our experts ........

BTW, did you notice how the article referred to the documents as "apparently bogus?" (That special journalistic weasel word they use when the jury is still out.)

you would think the temptation would be to look at a story and investigate whether it's true and not decide to run it only if it hurts Bush. What Rathergate has done is put into question the association of Main stream media and the Democratic party. Are they now seen as a wing/subsidiary of the democrats or can they be trusted to be unbiased?

All this can be laid at the feet of the left wing biased media, in their rush to smear Bush, they left their integrity at home and now, through their own machinations, they are suspect. Not because republicans are 'evil' but because the Liberal media got caught showing it's true colors.

If people now question the stories they now bring forward and look at them with a more critical eye, well, that's all to the good. Maybe onbe day the media will be balanced. Right now, they can't be trusted.

CBS didn't forge anything.

The questions re: the authenticity of the memos which were given to CBS arose after the 60 Minutes broadcast, and the source (Burkett) didn't fess up to having (presumably) been duped until even later.
