Default Manning Trade?

I was wondering if people would give thier opinions on a trade I am going to put out?

Offering:

D. Davis RB Houston
C. Brown RB Ten
B. Johnson QB Tampa
A. Johnson WR Houston

For:

P. Manning QB Ind
M. Faulk RB Stl
L. Fitzgerald WR Ariz
and a F/A pick.

We only get 4 F/A's for the year. No other pickups besides trades. Mainly a TD league (Longer are Better, yards alone aren't much).

Would leave me:

Manning
Gannon

Alexander
James
Faulk
S. Jackson
M. Bennett
O. Smith

Moulds
Fitzgerald
Boldin
Watts
Beurilson? (WR Minn)

Elam

Denver D

Would you? Seems like a fair trade but hesitant due to giving up RBs

Thanks in advance!

Personally... I don't like it. Its a fair and even trade in my eyes but you are taking too big a risk with Faulk and his potential not only for injuries, but also the possibilities that he could lose goal-line touches to the rookie like last week.

Losing two second tier RB's for a lower end-top tier rb and top QB would be great but qb's better have great value in your scoring or this will be a bad trade for you to do IMO However, that being said, its a good trade and I suspect that you'd come out ok even if its risky.

Thanks for the reply.

The only reason I offered this is because I have:

Alexander, James, D. Davis, C. Brown, S. Jackson (Faulks backup), M. Bennett, O. Smith, T. Bell,

Which is enough depth at RB especially if I get Faulk back in the trade.

I would not do it, Brown is going to have an awesome year as is Davis and Johnson in Houston. Even for Manning, a good back is almost always better than a good QB.

Even with the depth at RB that I have? I do mantain both my 1st and 2nd round picks in Alexander and James.

I have benn on the fence but I can only play 3 Rb in a week and the QB I have is servicable......

I would say no because, in my opinion, you're not as deep at RB as you think. If you did pull the trade you would be left with Alexander and James, which isn't bad but Alexander has already inured his knee so he's a wildcard IMO and James, while a good RB, isn't a good match if you also have Peyton at QB. Chances are they will offset each other.

I'm BIG on both Davis and Brown.
